Hot mic catches Trump complaining about Nobel Peace Prize and not getting credit for ending wars

A mic has appeared to catch Donald Trump complaining about the Nobel Peace Prize and for apparently not getting any credit for 'ending wars' this year.

While meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida on Monday (December 29) to discuss a peace plan with Gaza, a hot mic appeared to pick up the moment the POTUS boasted about ending 'eight wars' while bemoaning the fact he hasn't been given the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize.

As the group sat down to eat, Trump allegedly turned to Netanyahu to chat about one of his recent peace deals.

"Do I get credit for it? No,” the 79-year-old reportedly said.

He then appeared to start talking about how he has ended 'eight wars' since his return to the White House in January this year, adding: "They gave the Nobel-" before appearing to cut his sentence short.

"How about India and Pakistan? So I did eight of them. And then I'll tell you the rest of it," he then said.

The strange remark comes as Netanyahu was the one to nominate the US President for the prize back in June this year.

Trump has campaigned for months to bag the prize, stating continuously how he had been behind 'solving' several major conflicts around the globe.

However, while the president is sure of himself, and he did appear to orchestrate some ceasefire agreements between Israel and Iran and Cambodia and Thailand, his supposed involvement elsewhere is harder to verify.

For example, India has not given the POTUS credit for bringing a resolution to its conflict with Pakistan, as the country said the two militaries agreed to a ceasefire independently of the US.

Meanwhile, Congo is still fraught with conflict between rival militaries - and others have pointed out there has been no war between Serbia and Kosovo for Trump to have ended, unlike what he's claimed.

In another viral blunder, Trump confused Armenia with Albania, where he falsely claimed he calmed tensions between Azerbaijan and 'Albania', prompting European world leaders to share a giggle over the mistake.

In the end, this year's Nobel Peace Prize went to Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, who dedicated her award to Trump.

The 58-year-old was recognized for her 'tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela' and 'her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy'.

The woman decided to dedicate it to the US leader for his 'decisive' action in trying to make the Venezuelan regime 'weaker than ever' while also praising the Trump administration for helping her relocate to safety in Oslo, Norway, to collect her award, as she lives in hiding.
