Fox News Host Believes Men Being Lectured About Male Privilege Is Contributing To Mass Shootings

Tucker Carlson also blamed 'government-endorsed weed', 'porn' and 'anti-depressants' for the recent spate of shootings.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson has come up with a bizarre reason for why he thinks mass shootings are happening in America.

The TV presenter believes male privilege plays a part, but not in the way you might think.

Carlson used his news programme to suggest that it's people lecturing men about male privilege that's causing these shooters to carry out these tragedies.

Hi bizarre comments come after Robert E. Crimo III was arrested and charged with America's latest mass shooting where seven people were killed and scores more injured in Highland Park, Illinois.

Carlson labelled Crimo a 'nut case' and said maybe he 'didn't stand out' to authorities and that's why he flew under their radar.

But then he launched into a bizarre tirade about all the possible motives that could have allegedly set him off.

"There are a lot of young men in America who suddenly look and act like this guy. That is not an attack, it is just true," he said.

"They are high on government-endorsed weed, 'smoke some more, it is good for you.'

"They are numbed by the endless psychotropic drugs that are handed out in every school in the country by crackpots posing as counselours.

"Of course, they are angry, they know that their lives will not be better than their parents', they will be worse. That is all but guaranteed, they know that. They are not that stupid.

"And yet the authorities in their lives, mostly women, never stop lecturing them about their so-called privilege. 'You are male, you are privileged.'

"Imagine that, try and imagine an unhealthier, unhappier life than that. So a lot of young men in America are going nuts.

"Are you surprised? By the way, a shockingly large number of them have been prescribed psychotropic drugs by their doctors, SSRIs or anti-depressants. That would include quite a few mass shooters."

Crimo is a a 22-year-old Chicago native who is also known by his rap name 'Awake the Rapper'.

Crimo has over 16,000 listeners per month on Spotify, the Daily Mail reports, and artwork for some of his music posted last autumn shows him shooting people.

While not much is yet known about Crimo and his motives, snippets of his personal life have been circulating online which could suggest more about the young man's interests and ideologies.

For example, a clip posted on YouTube shows him dropping bullets on the floor in a classroom, which has now taken on chilling relevance.

The mass shooting that erupted at Highland Park happened on Independence Day when many Americans had gathered to watch a parade.
