A man who 'died' on a hospital bed has detailed what he felt, heard, and 'saw' during that scary time.
There have been a lot of people who have gone on to talk about their experiences with death.
From one man who claims he saw Hell, to another who said he saw 'passed loved ones', and someone else who revealed how they 'floated above their own body' during the ordeal - it appears entirely individual.
But the more we hear about what others went through, the more we seem to be learning about the process of death.

According to one man, who opened up about his experience on Reddit, it sounds like we understand so little about what it entails.

The user took to the 'Ask Me Anything' subreddit, sharing that he 'died, was revived, and was on life support for quite some time'.
He went on to add: “I also work in healthcare. Needless to say, being on both sides of the spectrum (as a healthcare provider and patient survivor) after this incident has really heightened my perspective. AMA.”
Sharing his story in the comments, the user wrote of how he was pronounced dead 'for a couple of minutes' before being placed on 'a mechanical ventilator for several days on the ICU'.
Calling it a 'humbling' experience, he shared how he felt 'absolutely no pain' and was even 'comfortable' while his body was 'fighting hard against everything physically'.
The Redditor revealed that he remembers vomiting while on the ventilator and aspirating, but that he didn’t feel pain.
Aspirating occurs when something enters a person's lungs and they fight to breathe, per the Cleveland Clinic.

At the time, the man described how he was 'surrounded by my family in the ICU, which was comforting' as he had 'an out-of-body experience'.
“I can still recall conversations my family had in the ICU room but no matter how much I wanted to reply to them or even interact with them, I couldn't. That was the weird part for me,” he wrote, adding that once the ventilator was removed from his lungs, he 'saw' his 'grandmother who passed away in 2004'.
According to the user, she told him to 'turn around... my time here is just beginning'. Afterwards, he shared how he felt the 'tubes slide out of my lungs and the nurses yelling my name'.
When people in the comments were debating whether the phenomenon of seeing a deceased loved one before you pass is a real occurrence or a result of drugs or hallucinations, he said: “I do believe that I saw my grandmother. I also, sometimes, reason with myself, too... asking whether or not it could've just been the drugs. However, any time I think about it, I land on... it was really her.
“And, I also work in research and development as a dual role, clinically. We are fortunate enough to have an IBM quantum computer to use. So, I have been learning about quantum physics for the past couple of years.”
