Woman who 'nearly died' says she knew something was wrong after $20k boob job 'started leaking green fluid'

Lisa Hart's breasts ended up different sizes as a result

A woman who spent £15,500 ($20,000) on a boob job was left dicing with death after having the procedure.

Lisa Hart, 45, was left feeling 'unhappy' with her body after having five children and wanted to 'tidy' herself up.

Originally Lisa had 36E breasts and feared that 'everyone was staring' at her chest, prompting her to have a breast reduction and reconstruction at a clinic in Glasgow, Scotland.

She went under the knife for the four-hour surgery in May 2025 and, while it's not uncommon for people having breast-related procedures to be discharged the same day as the surgery, allegedly Lisa was allowed to leave the hospital just an hour after going under the knife.

Then, a week later, she noticed 'green fluid' leaking onto her bandages from her right breast, Lisa claims.

Apparently the clinic where she had the surgery said this was normal, but after another four weeks she said her right breast healed unusually and then a pea-sized hole developed.

Lisa, who was also experiencing fever-like symptoms, continued to raise her concerns to the clinic for over a month but claims she was ignored.

She went to hospital in June 2025 where doctors told her she was septic and they had no choice but to remove the right implant.

The mum-of-five has been left with different sized boobs (her right a B-cup and left a C-cup) and has no choice but to return to the same clinic she had the surgery to fix the size difference because no others will touch her.

She now wants to use her experience to warn other women to be more 'cautious' about going under the knife.

Lisa said: "There was a point where I thought I would die. You hear all the horror stories - but never did I think it would happen to me here in Glasgow.

"The entire ordeal has left me with rock-bottom confidence and I feel people are still staring at me, but for a different reason."

She continued to say that all she wanted was to 'feel womanly' but now she's left missing how her body used to be.

Going on to share more about her scary experience, Lisa recalled the moment she knew something wasn't right.

"I was undoing the bandages myself when I first spotted the luminous green yellow liquid," she said. "After a couple of days, the skin on the breast began to split and a hole appeared below the nipple. It was hell."

When she started to develop a fever as well, Lisa said she felt like her 'body was literally failing [her]'.

During this time, Lisa said she repeatedly tried to contact the clinic who performed the procedure.

After being diagnosed with sepsis five weeks after her surgery and having the troublesome implant removed, Lisa had to stay in hospital for 10 days.

Now Lisa wants to warn others who are considering cosmetic surgery.

"I want to raise awareness about the dangers of going under the knife and for clinics to be held to account," Lisa further shared. "Having the perfect body isn't important - and my message is that everyone is perfect."
