Warning: This article contains discussion of suicide which some readers may find distressing.

A British woman has recalled how she learned it was not her time to die after she allegedly spent three days in heaven.

Julie Poole, from Cornwall in the UK, describes herself as a 'Spiritual and Personal Empowerment Coach', as well as a psychic, hypnotherapist and channeller.

Poole first felt a pull to religion and spirituality as a child and throughout her teenage years, but she got into spiritual work after an experience she had when she was 21.

The psychic had post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after having struggled with abusive relationships and mental health issues over a number of years, and ultimately she attempted to take her own life.

Poole opened up in an interview with the Life After Life podcast, where she described experiencing 'physical, mental, sexual and emotional abuse' as a child.

Noting the 'only part of life that made sense' to her were her 'spiritual connections', Poole made the decision to 'go home' by trying to end her life.

Following her suicide attempt, Poole said she was clinically 'dead' for three days, during which time she described being in 'limbo' before she was transported to a 'higher realm'.

However, Poole then learned her time on Earth wasn't over.

She recalled: "I suddenly saw my guides and my angels around me and then they lifted me up, and took me up to the Higher Realms. I just remember saying "I'm going home' and they said 'No you're not, it's not your time'."

Poole described being in the 'angelic realms', where there was 'huge amount of spiritual energy' as well as 'people, beings [and] angels' who were all working to heal her.

"I don't know how long I was there, but I do remember arguing with them," Poole recalled.

Poole claimed the angels told her: "We did warn you it would be too hard and too overwhelming, and now here you are at 21 trying to check out. It's not your time so we have to heal you enough to go back."

Though she had been reluctant to continue living, the angels allegedly assured Poole she would 'find enormous peace and be able to help enormous amounts of people'.

They offered further insight into the future by claiming there would be a new 'Golden Age' for mankind - an allegation that has left Poole believing we are moving closer to a ‘day of reckoning’.
