Manjit Sangha from the UK spent 32 weeks in hospital, and now after having all four of her limbs amputated and suffering several cardiac arrests she has been discharged.
Medics had believed that Manjit, 56, would almost certainly die from the terrifying disease which had affected her on July 14 2025.

Manjit has now issued a warning to everyone about the dangers of the terrifying and fast-acting health condition that she faced, which doctors believe may have come from something as innocuous as her dog licking her.

Manjit contracted sepsis, a serious infection which is deadly if not treated as soon as possible.
Even now in 2026 one of the only ways to save a patient who has sepsis is to amputate limbs, and it comes on extremely quickly.
It can happen to anyone and come from something very small, with doctors thinking her dog may have accidentally licked a cut or graze.
Manjit has now warned people about the condition, telling the BBC: "It could happen to anybody."
And while she has survived and gone home, she now has a very different life from what she had before.
She said: "It's difficult to explain the experience. Losing your limbs and your hands in a short time period is a very big thing.
"It's very serious and not to be taken lightly."
As for how it was in the moment, Manjit said she doesn't remember much.

"I didn't know what was happening," she said. "The first month I do not remember anything."
As for what is next though, Manjit is determined to get herself mobile again.
She said: "I want to get walking. I want to get my prosthetics [and] to go back to work.
"I've sat down in my chair and my bed enough. It's time to walk now."
Her husband Kam Sangha, who took seven months off work to support her, also opened up about the difficulties that she has overcome.
He said: "Your mind is all over the place. You're thinking 'how can this happen in less than 24 hours?'
"One minute on a Saturday she's playing with the dog, Sunday she's gone to work, Monday night she's in a coma."
