Greta Thunberg has taught Andrew Tate a lesson about the importance of recycling after his arrest.

The climate change activist, 19, took aim at the controversial media personality, 36, after he said he wouldn't recycle the pizza boxes that seemingly led to his arrest.

Take a look at Tate receiving the now-infamous pizza:

The tweet comes after Tate was arrested yesterday (29 December) after appearing to accidentally reveal his location to Romanian authorities via pizza boxes on Twitter.

He is now being questioned over alleged involvement in human trafficking and rape.

She tweeted today (30 December): "this is what happens when you don't recycle your pizza boxes [sic]."

The spat between the pair began when Tate tweeted the young climate change activist bragging about his extensive car collection.

This prompted her to joke about the speculated size of his penis in a brief tweet, and Tate went on to reply once more with a video that began with him smoking a cigar in a silk robe.

While Tate presumably thought this video was an entertaining clap back at the 19-year-old, he appeared to make a potentially life-changing mistake when he brought Jerry's Pizza boxes into the shot - a Romanian brand that revealed he was in the country.

He then joked that he would not be recycling the boxes.

Shortly after, he and his younger brother, Tristan, were arrested on suspicion of the aforementioned charges, and it appears that this would not have happened if it were not for Thunberg's initial clap back about the size of Tate's penis.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, social media users have been going wild for Thunberg's latest comment on events.

One joked: "As a climate activist, you aren't setting a great example by that much burning."

"Frantically googling how to nominate someone for Nobel prize for a second time," added a second while a third wrote: "Andrew really has set a whole new standard in the world of 'F**k around, find out."

"You just ratio'd him to prison," remarked a fourth. "Wow."

"True Queen of the North," wrote a fifth while a sixth joked: "Seriously, if you're a high-profile piece of sh*t and called Andrew, stay away from pizza. It will be your downfall…"

Others replied with a variety of memes, including some of fire, mic drops and the Dancing Pallbearers.

As reported by the Independent, prosecutors said of the Tate brothers' arrest alongside two Romanian suspects: "The four suspects ... appear to have created an organised crime group with the purpose of recruiting, housing and exploiting women by forcing them to create pornographic content meant to be seen on specialised websites for a cost."
