A woman has gone viral on TikTok after a rather interesting sushi restaurant trip.

Whenever you visit a new country, it's always nice to try out the local cuisine.

Whether that's eating tapas in Spain or feta cheese in Greece, there is an awful lot to enjoy overseas.

TikTok content creator Jessi B (tryingtobequiet) is currently travelling around south-east Asia and is living in Tokyo at the moment.

So, what local cuisine are you going to have in Japan? Sushi, of course.

Well, Jessi found the only Sushi restaurant with a five-star Google rating in her Tokyo neighbourhood.

And while the restaurant is evidently fancy from the short TikTok video, the menu features no prices.

And there's no doubt that is usually a bad sign.

An overlay to the TikTok video read: "POV: you walked to the only sushi restaurant with a 5.0 Google rating in your neighbourhood in Tokyo and now you're being served by a private chef with no prices on the menu."

Jess showcased how she was provided with 'fresh hot towels' every ten minutes, though the whole time she was wondering how much the final bill was going to come to.

With a shocked look on her face, the TikToker joked that the final price could range from anywhere between $200 and $2,000.

Many have since flocked to the comments section of the TikTok video to give their thoughts.

"HOW MUCH WAS IT. I’M STRESSING," one person asked, while a second wrote: "Bestie we need a price update now. I wasn’t expecting a whole sushi roll of uni 😭 you’ll be washing dishes till the end of time."

And a third person penned: "Tip from a Japanese person: if you see fresh wasabi root, you know the place is expensive."

Well, Jess did release a follow-up video where she revealed the price of the sushi.

And while it's a pretty expensive meal, it's a little cheaper than a lot of us expected.

Jess explained that the meal came to approximately 30,000 Japanese Yen, which equates to around $200.

"It's not what I expected to pay for dinner that's for sure," the TikToker explained.

However, Jess said she 'can live with that' adding that she 'accepted her fate' the minute she walked in.

And many others flooded to the comments section of the follow-up, with one joking: "GIRRRRLLLLLL 💀 WE THOUGHT THEY TOOK YOU AS PAYMENT 😂 glad you’re okay though."
