Chris Watts committed a heinous crime against his family, killing both his pregnant wife and their children.

But a clip has resurfaced showing how Chris' body language during his interrogation interview led an agent to believe he may have strangled his wife.

The tale of the despicable acts which happened back in August 2018 were turned into a Netflix documentary in 2020. American Murder: The Family Next Door uses raw, firsthand footage of police interviews following the incident as well as CCTV footage and examines the disappearance of Watts' pregnant wife, Shanann, and her their daughters.

A Reddit user shared a clip of agent Tammy Lee on the r/Chriswatts subreddit, who said that Watts made a lot of 'movements towards his neck area' during the interrogation.

The footage shows Tammy, who was part of the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, saying: "Chris, while he was talking to Special Agent Coder made a lot of movements towards his neck area."

The footage then shows a series of clips of Chris moving his hands towards his neck, resting his left arm against the left side of his throat in various different positions while answering the questions of the Special Agent.

Tammy continues by adding: "Special Agent Coder actually came out of the room and said 'He may have strangled her'."

The documentary sparked outrage among viewers after they watched in disbelief as Chris blatantly lied about his wife taking off with the kids when it was him who had in fact ended their lives.

Chris, an oil field operator, did the unthinkable - not only did he kill Shanann who was pregnant with his third baby at the time, but he also smothered their two children; Bella, aged 4 and Celeste, aged 3.

Most shocking of all, Chris decided to hide the two young children's bodies in an oil tank in the middle of a field.

Shanann and unborn baby Nico were discovered just 100 yards away buried in a shallow makeshift grave.

An autopsy report showed that the two young girls had oil in their throats, stomachs and lungs from being in for so long.

The harrowing situation has left Reddit users furious, yet thoroughly impressed by the intelligence of the Special Agents on the case.

One user wrote: "He really thought he could outsmart them too. Within 5 minutes of Coder talking to [Chris Watts] alone he already figured out how he killed Shanann."

While another added: "He knew he has a visible scratch there and was probably trying to hide it."

Chris is currently serving a life sentence in general population in maximum-security prison, Dodge Correctional Institution in Waupun Wisconsin.
