Jack Black has announced that the rest of the Tenacious D world tour has been cancelled following a controversial comment made by his bandmate regarding former US president Donald Trump.
Black and bandmate Kyle Gass have been travelling around the globe in recent months for their band Tenacious D, but the Jumanji star has now revealed that the tour is ending early.
The band have come under fire of late amid Gass' comments following the attempted assassination of Donald Trump on Saturday, July 13.

During a rally in Pennsylvania, the former president was shot in the ear in an incident that could have easily proven fatal.
Gass' birthday fell the day after the events unfolded and Black greeted him with a birthday cake on stage during their gig at Australia’s ICC Sydney Theatre.
The actor urged his bandmate to make a wish, to which Gass appeared to say: "Don’t miss Trump next time."
Black has now addressed Gass' quip - that was not a rehearsed bit - and announced that they're canceling the rest of the tour.
The School of Rock star penned on Instagram today (July 16): "I was blindsided by what was said at the show on Sunday. I would never condone hate speech or encourage political violence in any form.
"After much reflection, I no longer feel that it's appropriate to continue the Tenacious D tour, and all future creative plans are on hold.
"I am grateful to the fans for their support and understanding."
The actor, who boasts over 14 million followers on the platform, has turned the comments for the post off.
Information on the remaining tour dates and refunds will be provided at a later date.
Gass' comments sparked a lot controversy; so much so that Australian senator Ralph Babet called for him and Kung Fu Panda favorite Black to be deported.
"I call on the prime minister Anthony Albanese to join me in denouncing Tenacious D, Jack Black and band member Kyle Gass, and I call on the immigration minister Andrew Giles to revoke their visas and deport them immediately," he said, as per The Guardian.
"Anything less than a deportation is an endorsement of the shooting and the attempted assassination of Donald J Trump."
Following his scary experience over the weekend, Trump said that he 'should be dead'.
"The doctor at the hospital said he never saw anything like this, he called it a miracle," the 78-year-old told The New York Post. "I’m not supposed to be here, I’m supposed to be dead. I’m supposed to be dead."
Trump added that turning his head at the right moment is what saved his life.
