    Grammys performer forced to apologize after ‘aggressively’ adjusting his crotch on stage

    The performance became memorable for one thing, and it wasn't his voice

    A Grammy performer has apologized after he was caught fixing his crotch after a performance.

    The Grammy Awards are back, and so are controversial moments.

    There’s never a dull experience when you pack a group of celebrities into one room, but viewers at home got more than they bargained for when tuning in.

    Specifically, they were privy to a moment that should only be reserved for when a person is at home, and preferably alone too.

    However, Benson Boone’s aggressive ‘adjusting’ of his crotch onstage at the Grammys was caught on tape, and people haven’t stopped talking about it.

    The Beautiful Things singer, who has been topping the charts non-stop for the past two years, sang his hit at the show.

    But the 22-year-old went on to leave a bigger mark than he probably intended to.

    The performance included an outfit change (a core theme of the night), which was assisted by Heidi Klum and comedian Nikki Glaser.

    After the women ripped off Benson’s clothes, he and his tight blue suit backflipped off a piano at a pivotal moment in the song.

    Now, if you’ve not seen him perform this song yet, you’ll be unaware that he always performs this trick, and flawlessly at that.

    However, perhaps it was his outfit which led to the moment directly afterwards.

    After he’d wrapped up his song, the singer then ‘aggressively’ grabbed his crotch to adjust himself down below.

    This moment led to an uproar on social media, with people posting that he had ‘fixed his little Benson’.

    Another asked: “Wait… Does Benson’s crotch have its own website and media manager yet?!?!”

    Someone else penned: “Guess those are the beautiful things he won’t shut up about.”

    The singer has since taken to his Instagram account to apologize, and explain that his outfit was ‘extremely restricting’ in ‘certain areas.’

    He captioned his photograph of himself: “Sorry for adjusting my jumpsuit so aggressively on stage tonight that thing was extremely restricting in certain areas.”

    While Benson’s performance was stellar, and so was his album, the singer missed out on winning the Best New Artist award to newcomer, Chappell Roan.

    To this, a fan commented on his Instagram page: “you were robbed and i’m so sorry. you deserve so much better. but this next album will win a grammy.”



    When speaking on the red carpet before his infamous performance, Benson told People Magazine: “I’m doing really good. As you can tell there’s a lot of energy flowing through my body right now.

    “This is very crazy for me. There’s a lot of cool people here. I’m really excited to perform. I’m kind of like… crapping my pants right now.”

    He added: “In between four-and-a-half and five years ago I discovered I could sing. Ever since then I do it every day. It’s like my greatest passion and I’m just happy that I could make a living out of it.”

    While he didn’t win this time, there’s certainly an opportunity for the next award show.
