Chappell Roan had people talking at tonight's Grammys when she rocked up in a very revealing dress.

Roan is nominated for Record of the Year for her track 'The Subway', as well as Best Pop Solo Performance for the same song.

Meanwhile, last year, she won the award for Best New Artist, beating the likes of Benson Boone, Teddy Swims, and Shaboozey. This year, however, the anticipated award went to UK singing sensation, Olivia Dean.

Arguably it's not Roan's music that's got people talking this evening though — instead her bold fashion choice has.

Roan took to the Grammys red carpet and debuted what's thought to be a Thierry Mugler gown with the top of the dress connected to her nipples.

While many people would have felt a bit sheepish in such a revealing ensemble, body language expert Darren Stanton said the 27-year-old's confidence was 'off the scale'.

Speaking to UNILAD on behalf of Covers, Stanton said: "Off the scale confidence from Chappell Roan. She puts her hands behind her back, which shows a clear confidence, and someone who feels comfortable in their body and not afraid to be photographed.

"Being pictured and in the limelight appears to act as a confidence boost to her. She’s outgoing and very brash, I’ve not seen levels like this in a very long time on a red carpet. She flashes a ‘chin thrust’ gesture, which is a clear sign of strength."

Tonight's red carpet appearance is a far cry from some of Roan's previous looks as the singer became known for having heated confrontations with photographers.

A photographer appeared to tell the singer to 'shut the f**k up' and she snapped back with 'no, you shut the f**k up'.

Roan followed up with: "No. Not me, b*tch."

Speaking after the incident, Roan said that the red carpet can be 'overwhelming'.

"I think for someone who gets a lot of anxiety around people yelling at you, the carpet is horrifying. And I yelled back," she explained to Entertainment Tonight.

"You don't get to yell at me like that," added the 'HOT TO GO!' hitmaker.

She later confronted the same photographer, who was at another celebrity event she was attending, and demanded an apology from them.

"You yelled at me at the Grammys party," the singer was filmed saying to them at the LA premiere of Netflix's Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS World Tour, adding: "I deserve an apology for that."

It's unclear if the photographer in question actually apologized to her or not.
