Eminem fans have been flocking to social media in panic about whether his upcoming album signals it'll be his last.

Last month, Marshall Bruce Mathers III confirmed his latest album would be coming soon and in a post to social media earlier today (May 29) he revealed a single titled 'Houdini' is set for release on Friday (May 31).

Content warning: As Eminem says: "Please do not try this at home. Or anywhere else."

The rapper took to his social media to share a video teasing the release of 'Houdini' - seemingly named after Hungarian-American escape artist, illusionist, and stunt performer Harry Houdini - starring himself and renowned magician and stunt performer David Blaine.

The clip sees Eminem ask Blaine for his 'help with something', questioning: "How far can we go with this magic? Can we do a stunt or something?"

Blaine then grabs a wine glass and has a quick munch on it, but that's not what's got everyone all worked up.

Instead, all everyone's chatting about online is when Eminem then says: "Well, for my last trick, I'm going to make my career disappear."

And, as you'd expect, it's not taken long for Stans to absolutely Lose Themselves on X in a panic.

One X user said: "PLEASE DON'T RETIRE."

Another added: "What do you mean make your career disappear?"

A third commented: "Don't retire goat."

"Nope, I don't believe you," a fourth wrote.

Well, the 51-year-old has previously said once he reached 50 he'd stop releasing music, however, when he carried on anyway despite reaching half a century, fans were able to breathe a sigh of relief.

And another fan has another theory about Eminem's upcoming album name and teaser.

They queried: "'I am going to make my career disappear.' Is he going to say some wild s**t to get 'cancel' or sum?"

"Yoooo what if Eminem is about to let all the secrets loose and then dip lol," another echoed.

And others were simply too overjoyed by the announcement of new music from the rapper to worry too much about the idea of his career vanishing - for now at least.

One fan wrote: "That beat at the end has me jumping."

"WE SO READY UNC," a second added.

Another said: "I fully expect nothing but a gourmet dish for my ears laced with profanity and hilarious lyrics."

And a final resolved: "Let's gooooo."

So, what do you think about his latest announcement?
