Sean 'Diddy' Combs has arrived in a New York court for his sentencing after being convicted in July of transporting people around the country for sexual encounters.
A jury acquitted the hip-hop mogul, 55, of more serious racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges that could have put him away for life.
He was, however, found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution following a gruelling six weeks of testimony.
In light of this, prosecutors are asking that the rapper be sentenced to a minimum of 11 years. In contrast, Diddy's lawyers say that he should get no more than 14 months in prison.

On the eve of his sentencing, Diddy wrote to US District Judge Arun Subramanian asking for mercy and proclaiming himself to be 'reborn' after realising that he was 'broken to my core'.

He also wrote that during the time he's already served behind bars, 'the scene and images of me assaulting Cassie [Ventura] play over and over in my head daily'.
Now, over a year on from his September 2024 arrest in New York, and Diddy is in court to be sentenced.

Speaking at the court hearing is prosecutor Christy Slavik, who has made a bold claim about the rapper.
As per The New York Times, Slavik said that Diddy has reportedly booked speaking engagements in Miami 'for next week'.
She described this as 'the height of hubris'.

People on Twitter have reacted to Slavik's remarks and questioned why Diddy would book appearances for next week when there's a chance he'll be behind bars.
Someone wrote: "If this is true that Diddy booked speaking engagements for Miami for next week, then his lawyers should hang their heads in shame for stupidity! Beyond stupid to allow that to happen! And for that to be revealed? OMG."
"What a clown move. He assumed he’d be getting out because people have been paid to lie to this fool his whole adult life," said a second.
"Booking speaking engagements is wild," a different person said.
