The internet is freaking out after realizing who Nicolás Maduro may be staying in prison with.
The former Venezuelan president is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York, which has been home to a number of high-profile criminals.
Maudro and his wife, Cilia Flores, were captured from Caracas, Venezuela, and transported to the US on Friday night (January 2).
He has since been charged with a slew of criminal offences, including Narco-Terrorism Conspiracy, Cocaine Importation Conspiracy, Possession of Machineguns and Destructive Devices, and Conspiracy to Possess Machineguns and Destructive Devices against the United States.

Maduro denies any wrongdoing, telling his first court hearing via a Spanish interpreter: “I am not guilty. I am a decent man. I am still the president of my country.”
However, if convicted, he could face the death penalty.

Flores, meanwhile, has been charged with cocaine importation conspiracy, possession of machine guns and destructive devices and conspiracy to possess machine guns and destructive devices. She, too, denies all charges.
And it turns out that the political pair aren't the only well known names in the prison they are being housed in.
Also in the MDC are two famous faces; one of the most recent is controversial rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine.
Tekashi - real name Daniel Hernandez - checked into the prison for three months on Tuesday (January 6) after pleading guilty to violating the terms of his release, as per ABC7 New York.
He was charged in 2018 in a federal racketeering case that targeted members of a criminal group he worked with.
It marks the second time in just over a year that he has been sent back to prison for such violations.

Another is Luigi Magione, who is accused of the 2024 killing of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
He remains in custody without bail following a pre-trial hearing in December.
Tal and Oren Alexander, real estate agents charged with sex trafficking, are also being held at MDC.
Other MDC tenants have included Jeffrey Epstein's accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, P. Diddy - who has since been moved to FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey - former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, sex offender R. Kelly and rapper Fetty Wap.
Former pharma CEO Martin Shkreli, NXIVM cult leader Keith Raniere and adult film star Austin Wolf, who was convicted of distributing child pornography, also had stints at the prison.
People have taken to social media to point out the crazy roster of criminals.
"The real life Arkham Asylum," one person wrote, as a second quipped: "They gotta let them make a podcast together."
"Put a production crew in there and we’d have the best TV show of all time," a third said.
And a fourth joked: "'Just get on Hinge, there’s good people on there'. The people on Hinge: [photo of the MDC inmates]."
