50 Cent is giving up sex for the entire of 2024

50 Cent fans are flocking to social media after the rapper revealed he's 'practicing abstinence' in 2024.

The 48-year-old - real name Curtis James Jackson III - isn't exactly known for his PG behaviour, from hurling a microphone into a crowd at one of his live concerts or complaining about not having bras thrown at him while he's on stage like Drake.

Yet now, he's decided to go into 2024 by getting rid of one of his more x-rated activities. The question is why?

50 Cent took to his Instagram page yesterday (9 January) to share three images of himself sat in a suit, complete with a shirt, tie and cigar - of course. And by his side, a glass of his own-brand Branson Cognac which he's seen raising to his lips in the final shot.

The caption reads: "My new idea is so big, I don’t have time to be distracted I’m practicing abstinence, I have been meditating and focusing on my goals.

"I hope this New Year helps you excel to the next level. @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi."

He tags not only his cognac brand but also his Champagne line Le Chemin du Roi too.

And fans of the rapper have flooded to X - formerly known as Twitter - to weigh in on his vow of abstinence.

One user wrote: "From what though?", while another added: "Well I Guess Fiddy won’t be 'Up in the Club'."

A third commented: "Wow, let's see how it goes."

"No candy shop for you huh," a fourth added.

And a final said: "It's not supposed to be that complicated."

For those of you a bit confused by what 50 Cent means by he's 'practicing abstinence' when he's still seemingly drinking alcohol according to his Instagram post, Healthline explains 'in its simplest form, abstinence is the decision not to have sexual intercourse'.

So, the rapper may sing about being 'into having sex,' but it would appear he's taking a dip from engaging in any such relationships this year.

50 Cent's vow to give up sex follows after news broke of he and fellow rapper Cuban Link - Jamira Haines - seemingly splitting up.

Fans of the pair spotted they no longer follow one another on Instagram and there's now only one potential image of the pair left on her social media.

But why is the rapper giving up sex? Well, if his tags are anything to go by, it would seem he wants to focus more on business than pleasure. And if 50 Cent can do it, so can you.
