Lil Wayne drew his latest show to an abrupt end after seemingly being left unimpressed by the crowd’s response to his Young Money artists.

The 40-year-old rapper performed the final date for his Welcome To Tha Carter Tour at the Wiltern in Los Angeles on Saturday (13 May) but things ended on a slightly sour note as he decided to call it earlier than expected.

You can see him addressing the crowd here:

Lil Wayne - real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr - reportedly played for around half an hour before he took an intermission while Young Money artists Allan Cubas, Yaj and Lil Twist, came on and performed.

However, upon returning to the stage, Lil Wayne appeared annoyed at the reception his fellow rappers got.

In footage shared online, he can be heard telling Cubas: "We appreciate it, but we ain’t about to be bending over backwards for these folks. We work too hard for this s**t. We work way too hard.”

Addressing the crowd, he continued: "This my mother f***ing artist Allan, that was Twist, that was Yaj; we are Young Money. We appreciate y’all time.”

He then placed his mic on the stage and walked off - as confused concert goers waited for him to return, the lights flicked on and they were told to exit the venue.

Some of those at the show took to social media to complain about the performance, with one person writing: “I’ll never look at Lil Wayne the same after tonight. He really canceled his concert mid-show bc the audience (I am the audience) sat down while he took a smoke and p**s break. Refunds are in order.”

Another tweeted: "Soooooo @wiltern @Ticketmaster @LilTunechi are we getting a reimbursement or make up show after that Lil Wayne concert last night because we all need our money back or something because we paid for a full show not 45 mins."

Lil Wayne said his fellow rappers ‘work too hard for this s**t’.

A third posted: “When Lil Wayne cancels 30 minutes in bc his opening acts were during an intermission bc barely anyone knew them like?? Everyone starts from somewhere no one was getting booed like wth is going on I blame the retrograde.”

Earlier in the show Lil Wayne had declared himself the ‘best rapper alive’.

Addressing his packed out audience, he said: “I am the realest mother f***er in the game right now. Ladies and gentlemen, I don’t give a f**k what you think you’re looking at, but you are looking at the best rapper alive.”
