Kendrick Lamar Drops His First Song In Years Ahead Of New Album

The rapper has released 'The Heart Part 5' just days prior to the release of his fifth studio LP 'Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers'.

Kendrick Lamar has just dropped his first single in more than four years with the release of ‘The Heart Part 5’.

The rapper has also dropped a music video for the track.

It comes less than a week before the release of his new album ‘Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers’, which will arrive on May 13.

The release signals Lamar’s first single as a lead artist since featuring across The Black Panther soundtrack in 2018.

The video, directed by Dave Free in collaboration with Lamar, sees the rapper’s face morphed into several deepfakes, including OJ Simpson, Will Smith, Jussie Smollett, Kobe Bryant, and Kanye West.
