Fans think naked Homer Simpson in Fortnite signals major change after seeing his nipples

The Simpsons have jumped into Fortnite, but fans think an even bigger change is coming to the hit video game pretty soon.

Fortnite has come a long way in a few years, and it's fair to say it is one of the most popular games on any platform, to be honest. While many of us had our fun with the battle-royale game and haven’t touched it in a while, there are still millions of die-hard fans around the world.

Many of these fans rejoiced when Simpson characters joined as at the start of November. This has sparked much chatter, but according to some fans, a new skin of Homer is causing a stir because... well, because he is naked.

Not fully naked; he is at least wearing underwear, but all of his top half glory is on full display, including his nipples.

The giant-sized version of Homer that is set to be an available skin in the game will showcase his nipples as two dots, very much in the style of the long-running cartoon.

Now, for those who haven’t been keeping up with all of Fortnite’s crossovers and additions over the years, this is a bit of an interesting development, as fans have long been discussing why Fortnite has previously removed nipples from characters.

While the game has had ‘topless’ characters before, their nipples have never been visible. Oddly enough, real-life individuals who were ported into the game, like Travis Scott, had other personal details like tattoos, but nipples were missing.

Just like with anything, people took to social media to discuss it.

One user jokingly wrote: “Finally Nipples on Fortnite."

A second: “He has nipples and is shirtless but Kimiko Fivetails, Meowskulls, Raven team leader, and Lynx can't?”

Another fan said: “1st skin with nipples. Why is Homer the 1st skin?”

Epic Games has never formally announced why it doesn’t showcase nipples, but some fans think this could ultimately be a shift from the company for future iterations of other characters. This theory remains unconfirmed, and UNILAD hs reached to Epic Games for comment.

So, if you were expecting full-on nudity in a T-rated game, you will very much be out of luck, but it you do fancy seeing Homer in his yellow glory all the same, it might be worth jumping back onto the battle royale and seeing the very first in-game nipples of Fortnite. What a time to be alive.
