The Flash Fans Are Calling For Elliot Page To Replace Ezra Miller

Calls have been growing for Elliot Page to replace Ezra Miller as The Flash.

Calls have been growing for Elliot Page to replace Ezra Miller as The Flash.

The Flash is set to 'restart everything' with past DC characters, according to producer Barbara Muschietti.

However, DC comic fans have also been calling for the main role to be reestablished.

Instead of Ezra Miller taking on their first solo movie as a superhero in the action adventure, calls are building for The Umbrella Academy's Elliot Page to take on the role instead.

A debate has begun online as to whether or not Elliot Page should replace Ezra Miller as The Flash.
Warner Bros. Pictures

Miller has been at the centre of controversy in recent years. They were arrested by Hawaii Police on two separate occasions, with the first incident taking place on 28 March 2022 in Hilo.

The 29-year-old actor reportedly 'became agitated while patrons at the bar began singing karaoke', 'began yelling obscenities,' allegedly grabbed a microphone and lunged at a man playing darts.

They were subsequently arrested, taken into custody and charged for disorderly conduct and harassment.

The second incident saw them get arrested for second-degree assault on 19 April, 2022, in which they allegedly threw a chair at a woman, hitting her on the head.

Hawaii Police Department stated: "During the course of their investigation, police determined that the individual, later identified as Ezra Miller, became irate after being asked to leave and reportedly threw a chair, striking a 26-year-old female on the forehead, resulting in an approximate half-inch cut."

The actor was arrested and later released 'pending further investigation', all before having a temporary harassment protection order placed against them.

The order was granted to a 12-year-old child and their mother last month, who are reported as being neighbours of the actor and allege Miller approached them while armed and 'under the influence'.

Reflective of the scandal which currently enshrouds them, calls have subsequently been growing for Miller to be replaced ahead of the 2023 Warner Bros. release.

And as for their replacement? Well, many think Elliot Page is perfect to take on the role of Barry Allen a.k.a. The Flash.

One user tweeted: "Just want to take this moment to say Elliot Page would make a great Barry Allen, in case there's ever a need to, you know, cast a new Flash, for whatever reason."

"The casting we never knew we needed," another said.

A third commented: "I'd take Elliot Page over Ezra Miller for the flash 8 days a week.

"Hell, if they decide it's worthwhile to make another fantastic beasts movie (seems doubtful at this point) have Page replace Miller as Aurelius as well. Why not."

"Saw someone mention that The Flash should be recast as Elliot Paige earlier and now I'm obsessed with the idea.

"Not only does it keep a genderqueer actor in the role, but Elliot's no stranger to superhero outings (X-Men and Umbrella Academy), and is all atound great.

"Need this," a final resolved.

However, despite loving Page, not all of their fans agreed they should be cast as The Flash.

"I'd prefer Elliot Page over Ezra Miller any day of the week! But...if I had a list of 10 actors to play the flash he would not be on it," one said.

Another wrote: "I love Elliot Page, he's my King but no. You guys are Just trying to find an Ezra Miller look-a-like and he deserve better than that.

"Also, the DCEU doesn't deserve him. Have a good night!"
