People Praising Samuel L. Jackson Thriller That's Just Been Added To Netflix

Praise is flooding in for a 2007 Samuel L. Jackson flick that was recently added to Netflix, having already found its way into the streaming giant's top 10 chart in the US.

It's safe to say Jackson has dominated the box office throughout his decorated career, but even he has been guilty of seemingly missing the mark from time to time - which is exactly what happened when his thriller Cleaner dropped over two decades ago.

It was a flop with both critics and audiences at the time, but it seems the failed drama flick is getting a new lease of life after being added to Netflix's catalogue - and viewers are impressed.

Watch the trailer below:

Starring Ed Harris, Keke Palmer and Eva Mendes, the movie follows a former New Jersey cop (Jackson) who takes up a job as a crime scene cleaner, before things take a turn as he unknowingly becomes part of a cover-up.

The film's synopsis reads: "After years as a detective, Tom runs a business specialising in cleaning up crime scenes, but a new gig at a ritzy house reveals a possible cover-up."

The thriller currently sits with a 40 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics at the time blasting the film as lacklustre and generally 'low energy', although it seems Netflix viewers disagree. So much so, the movie is sitting comfortably at number four in the streaming giant's top 10 chart in the States.

Indeed, it appears its less than favourable ratings from back in the day haven't put viewers off, with many taking to Twitter to air their thoughts on the film.

One user commented: "Cleaner on Netflix is so good"

Another impressed viewer wrote: "Just watched this movie The Cleaner. It was wild. On Netflix if you’re bored!"

Meanwhile, a third said: "The Cleaner on Netflix good asf!!!"

"The Cleaner on netflix was hella chills forreal," a fourth tweeted, while another said: "Cleaner on Netflix is good thank me later."

Despite not gaining success with Cleaner when it first hit screens, Renny Harlin, who was in the director's chair for the movie, has gone on to to helm the likes of A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master, Die Hard 2, The Long Kiss Goodnight and Deep Blue Sea. So it's not all doom and gloom then.

Cleaner is available to stream on Netflix now.
