A list of the highest-paid actors in 2024 has been revealed, and shockingly, it only features one female.

The top three of the table are well ahead of the rest, with the first probably coming at no surprise, although the list in total has left people puzzled.

So, without further ado...

10. Will Smith — $26 million

The 'Gettin' Jiggy Wit It' hitmaker grossed an impressive $30 million to snatch 10th spot from Mariska Hargitay - who made $25 million.

It's with thanks to Bad Boys: Ride or Die the fourth of the franchise - which grossed $404.2 million worldwide, with a production budget of $100 million.

9. Adam Sandler — $26 million

Netflix's hit movie Spaceman cost the streaming giant $40 million to make, with a sum of that going towards Adam Sandler, while Happy Gilmore 2 is also in the pipeline.

8. Nicole Kidman — $31 million

The Aussie Oscar-winning actor raked in $31 million, gross $41 million, and in doing so has become a flagship for women - being the only female to make the list.

It's thanks to a busy year which saw two hit movies released in Babygirl and A Family Affair, while also featuring in Netflix's Spellbound and three TV series.

7. George Clooney — $31 million

Co-starring alongside Brad Pitt in Wolfs, Clooney had a great year - also starring in IF. While there were some beliefs that Clooney and Pitt were offered $35 million to star in Apple+'s Wolfs, he spoke out previously, saying he was paid 'millions and millions' less.

6. Brad Pitt — $32 million

Again, Pitt starred in the same films as Clooney, while also producing eight films - including Wolfs. Grossing $42 million in total, Pitt made $5 million more than Clooney.

5. Hugh Jackman — $50 million

Deadpool & Wolverine was a huge hit at theaters worldwide, which made a staggering $1,337,791,922. That's a profit of more than $1 billion, with the production budget being $200 million.

It's fair to say Jackman made a pretty penny, grossing $66 million in total.

4. Jerry Seinfeld — $60 million

Having just been named a billionaire by Forbes last year, Seinfield's bank account was already swelling. He added to this by directing and starring in Netflix's Unfrosted, which parodies the invention of Pop-Tarts.

His admission on the table left some people a bit surprised, one person took to Twitter to ask: "How is Jerry Seinfeld still making so much money?"

While another added: "Jerry Seinfeld? is he still alive?"

3. Kevin Hart — $81 million

Hart had an incredibly diverse year, grossing a total of $108 million, starring in such projects as action adventure movie Borderland, comedy series Die Hart in which the 45-year-old played a fictionalised version of himself, and a weekly podcast for Spotify.

There were also his 90 stand-up comedy shows and commercials with DraftKings and Chase.

2. Ryan Reynolds — $85 million

Reynolds was the main event in Deapool & Wolverine, as his character’s showdown with Jackman’s Wolverine grossed more than $1.3 billion worldwide - as mentioned earlier.

As well as being the lead producer, co-writer and star of Deadpool & Wolverine, the Canadian co-owner of Wrexham AFC also starred in John Krasinski's IF, produced a new season of Welcome to Wrexham for Hulu, and reworked the script for his wife Blake Lively’s movie It Ends With Us.

1. Dwayne Johnson — $88 million

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson grossed $103 million and topped the list of highest paid actors after bagging one of the biggest deals in streaming history as he starred in Amazon's Red One last year, estimated to be worth $50 million.

He also stepped into some big producer roles, including for the animated epic sequel, Moana 2. The movie grossed more than $1 billion at the box office.

Meanwhile, users on Twitter questioned why the former WWE star makes so much money from his movies.

"I must be old. Never watched a film with the Rock all the way through," one person wrote.

"Dwayne Johnson is overpaid," typed another.
