People are flooding to social media in praise of Selena Gomez's reaction to Jo Koy's opening monologue at the Golden Globes.

Being a host at an awards show is certainly a risky business and unfortunately for Jo Koy at the 81st Golden Globes Awards - which took place last night (January 7) - the comedian took some jokes too far.

As well as poking fun at Saltburn's Barry Keoghan and making reference to Taylor Swift's relationship with NFL player Travis Kelce, Koy also took a punt at the film and TV industry as a whole through talking about Barbie and well, the faces of the celebs sat in the audience said it all.

Taking a swing at the acting industry, he said: "The key moment in Barbie is when she goes from perfect beauty to bad breath, cellulite and flat feet... Or what casting directors call 'character actor'."

Cue a few pitying laughs from the audience, but mostly faces of complete and utter disappointment.

Oh, and Selena Gomez's reaction was even more relatable.

After hearing Koy's 'joke' Gomez was caught on camera staring at the table and placing her head in her hands.

And fans of the Only Murders in the Building star have flocked to social media in stitches over her response.

One X - formerly known as Twitter - user said: "Selena and that old lady are going through it."

To which another user quickly clarified by that 'old lady' the user meant Helen Mirren.

Another added: "Selena's reaction never miss I fear."

A third commented: "Selena Gomez is so real for this."

And a fourth wrote: "Selena was done."

Her reaction has gone viral.

And it wasn't just Selena who wasn't impressed by Koy's quip, with Mirren appearing equally as unimpressed, as well as Harrison Ford.

"Even Harrison Ford was like 'that s**t didn't land'," one user noted.

Another zoomed in on reactions from Poor Things, award-winner Emma Stone and The Bear's Ayo Edebiri - with Stone glancing to the side in a frown and Edebiri simply not giving the line the time of day.

Someone else wrote: "I didn’t watch the show but this is so f**king funny. Has an awards host ever been so openly reviled by the attendees before lol."

Quickly realizing his joke didn't land at all, Koy explained: "Some [jokes] I wrote, some other people wrote... Yo, I got the gig 10 days ago, you want a perfect monologue?"

He added: "Yo, shut up. You're kidding me right? Slow down. I wrote some of these, and they're the ones you're laughing at."

So, what do you think?
