Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco react to brutal roast from host Nikki Glaser at the Golden Globes

No one is safe when it comes to jokes at the Golden Globes - Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez in particular.
Award show hosts are known for roasting the audience, and this evening (January 5), 'Lose You to Love Me' singer and her record producer fiancé Blanco were the butt of one of Nikki Glaser's jokes.
The pair, who were of course sat together, were showed on screen as Glaser noted Gomez's nominations.

"Selena Gomez is here," the comedian began. "A double nominee tonight for Emilia Perez and Only Murders [In The Building], and she's here tonight with her new fiancé Benny Blanco.
"And Benny Blanco is here because of the genie that granted that wish. Man, lucky guy."
The pair laughed as Gomez mimed that she was in the lucky one of the two, while Blanco simply laughed and kissed the singer on the shoulder.
People have since reacted to Glaser's joke on social media. One person said: "Selena Gomez’s fiancé, Benny Blanco, getting roasted at this year’s #GoldenGlobes was the best part of show."
"Selena and Benny bracing for impact bc they knew Nikki was gonna roast them," said another.
Echoing similar sentiments, soemone else penned: "Selena knowing the joke would come about Benny Blanco."
Another wrote: "omg not a Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco joke omg."
Even before Glaser made the joke, Golden Globes viewers prediction that one would happen.
Some expected Gomez to take it badly, but luckily, both she and Blanco appeared to take the light-hearted swipe in their stride.
Gomez was nominated in two categories this evening; one for her work in Only Murders in the Building, and another for her role in Emilia Pérez - which her co-star Zoe Saldana won and gave a heartwarming speech thanking the singer and actress.
