Fans in hysterics after watching Zendaya's reaction to seeing Benny Blanco at Golden Globes

If you ever had any doubt about just how much attention fans pay to their beloved celebrities, some now-viral photos of Zendaya shooting a subtle look towards Benny Blanco at the Golden Globes will make you think twice.

The scene is quite literally a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, but eagle-eyed fans managed to spot it as they watched Zendaya in a video posted on Twitter by The Hollywood Reporter.

In the clip, the Challengers star can be seen wearing a golden-orange dress as she stands with her back to the camera, chatting to other attendees at the event, which took place last night (January 5).

Meanwhile, Gomez and Blanco arrive hand-in-hand and make their way into the crowd, where they appear to try and skirt around Zendaya.

After seeing the clip, many fans were left disappointed that Zendaya and Gomez didn't appear to catch up as they arrived at the event, despite both coming from Disney Channel backgrounds and having worked together previously on a Sears commercial.

"selena just next to zendaya and yet still no reunion," one unsatisfied fan commented.

But while Gomez and Zendaya might not have caught up at the Golden Globes - at least not in this clip - fans couldn't help notice the look on Zendaya's face when she spotted Blanco.

It only lasts a second, but viewers honed in on the half-smile on her face as she glanced over to see him behind her, and began to share screenshots online, with one joking that the actor looked 'completely terrified' of Blanco.

"ZENDAYA FRIGHTENED WHEN SHE SAW BENNY BLANCO IM SCREAMINGTHDNJGN," one Twitter user enthusiastically wrote.

Another commented: "ZENDAYA IS CLEARLY UNCOMFORTABLE SEEING BENNY."

Zendaya's look goes away just as quickly as it arrived, so it's entirely possible that she just happened to glance in Blanco's direction in the midst of dropping a smile - but fans are convinced there's more to it.

The actor's look isn't the only thing that managed to capture attention when she appeared at the Globes, however.

As she walked the red carpet and appeared on camera, fans noticed Zendaya had a piece of jewelery on her ring finger - a detail that immediately sparked speculation that she and Tom Holland could be engaged.

Zendaya even appeared to show off the ring as she splayed out her hands for photos - but neither she nor Tom Holland have spoken out to confirm the news at the time of writing (January 6).
