Leonardo DiCaprio being tipped for Oscar after 'best ever' performance in Killers of the Flower Moon

Killers of the Flower Moon is officially out in cinemas and everyone is loving Leonardo DiCaprio's performance.

Leonardo DiCaprio is being tipped to bag an Oscar after what fans describe as his 'best ever' performance in Killers of the Flower Moon.

The Martin Scorsese film is out in cinemas across the globe from today (20 October), with many flocking to go see it on day one.

An official synopsis for Killers of the Flower Moon reads: "Members of the Osage tribe in northeastern Oklahoma are murdered under mysterious circumstances in the 1920s, sparking a major BOI (which became the FBI in 1935) investigation directed by a 29-year-old J. Edgar Hoover and former Texas Ranger Tom White."

Leonardo DiCaprio portrays Ernest Burkhart in the western drama, while Robert De Niro stars as William Hale.

And according to fans who have watched the new movie, the pair have delivered masterclasses in acting.

But it is DiCaprio's role as Ernest that the majority of fans are talking about, with many flocking to social media to sing his praises.

A second added: "Yeahhhhhh Dicaprio, Gladstone and De Niro about to sweep the Oscars."

While a third remarked: "The performances from Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro and Lily Gladstone were breathtaking.
