Stranger Things fans have been finding themselves unable to immerse themselves in the world of Hawkins after noticing what they believe are holes in the plot.
Three years after the Netflix show wrapped up its fourth season, the fifth instalment came to send the internet into a spin on November 26.
The season has been broken into three parts – with the first four episodes having been released now, and another three released on Christmas.

After that, fans can anticipate the finale on New Year's Eve, so let’s hope it brings us into the New Year on a positive note.
While viewers around the globe were able to get back into to 80s-inspired thriller, some were left feeling a little deflated after noticing what they think are plot holes that need to be addressed.
Since, they’ve said it took them ‘out’ of the fantasy world, ruining the immersion.
A person wrote on a Reddit thread: "I love Stranger Things but for me all of these things took me out of it a bit. What do you guys think? Am I missing something with these? Any others you can think of? Hopefully it comes together in the end!"
WARNING: Spoilers ahead
So, for those of you who have watched Volume 1 of the fifth season, you may have noticed the same things as these Reddit users who have been feeling like they’ve been given half the story on some scenes.

As of right now, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Mike, Eleven, Jonathan, Nancy, Steve, Robin, Hopper and Joyce Byers have all conjured up another plan to dive into the Upside Down following a major lockdown imposed by the US government after Vecna reigned terror in the Right-side Up in the last season.
However, when the military kidnaps children to lure Eleven back to base, things go crazy, Demogorgons erupt, Mike’s sister is kidnapped by Vecna, a rescue attempt goes wrong, and generally, everything seems bleak for the Hawkins gang.
Essentially, people have found that Vecna turning up to have a chat with Will at the end of the volume before returning to the Upside Down after an extended lack of action from his part for four episodes, was a little anti-climactic.

To this, a user claimed the answer is simple: Vecna came to even the score. They wrote: “The humans had beaten the demogorgons with fire, and they were all writhing in pain across the hive mind. Chances are, Vecna was also in severe pain. He came to turn the tide back.”

The Reddit user then stated: “In the Turnbow Trap, Steve grabs a chainsaw and acts badass only to end up being in the car and not using it at all?”

While some said that they believe Steve used the chainsaw to cut a hole through the house during the search for and subsequent attack on the Upside Down military base.
A user wrote: “Steve took chainsaw to make that hole in the living room I guess.”
They also had an issue with what 'happened to the Tur[n]bow family’.

The user asked: “Did they really just leave the parents and sister in that barn? Lmao.”
This refers to when Vecna pursued Derek Turnbow, and the gang launched the Turnbow Trap, where they drugged and kidnapped the entire family as bait for the Demogorgons in a bid to find Holly.

They lock the family up, and oddly, it does seem like they leave them there once their job was done.

However, someone believes they must have ‘cut’ the family loose in the barn so they could escape once they regained consciousness.
Lastly, the user was a little up in arms over the hospital scene where ‘Mike and Nancy come up with a plan for him to keep the nurse distracted while Nancy goes up to talk to her mom'.
However, this didn’t happen in the next scene, as you can see the ‘two of them confronting the doctor himself asking if they can talk to their mom?’.

Essentially, the plan was moot because they didn’t use it in the end.
Someone suggested that speaking with the doctor was probably the easier plan, and ‘worth a shot’ before sneaking in if all failed.
As for theories about what’s to come in Volume 2, people have been quick to issue their death predictions, bearing in mind the show's creators the Duffer brothers are known for targeting their new characters.

This means that Dr. Kay, Derek Turnbow and Holly Wheeler could all be at risk of death.

However, because this is the last season, they could very well go Game of Thrones and kill everyone, despite telling people they wouldn't do that.
Matt Duffer revealed that killing a core character would be a major change to the show.

As per Cosmopolitan, he said: "Hopper at the end of season three. I think death grazed him."
He told Entertainment Weekly: "There was a version where he perished at the end of three. It's been a while since we had those discussions, but I feel like he came the closest to dying."
Thankfully, that didn’t happen, but fans think Lucas, Steve, and Hopper are the most likely to die by the end of the show... please, not Steve.
