Fans of Stranger Things have been left with an unusual take after spotting an editing error in one of the latest episodes.
It's been a big few weeks for fans of the hit Netflix show as it enters its fifth and final season nearly 10 years after first airing.
The series follows the exploits of 'The Party' and their allies in the town of Hawkins, Indiana, as they grapple with supernatural threats from the terrifying Upside Down, a dark dimension which exists parallel to their own.
Stranger Things has become hugely popular for its combination of mystery and horror, as well as its innumerable references to the culture, films, and aesthetics of the 1980s.

In the done fashion these days, the final season has been split into multiple parts, with the first being released on 26 November, the second being released on Christmas Day, and the finale on New Year's Eve.

But one moment in a recent episode was spotted by eagle-eyed viewers.
This was what appeared to be the presence of some brightly-colored tape markers in one shot of Will (Noah Schnapp) and Robin (Maya Hawke) in 'Chapter Two: The Vanishing of Holly Wheeler'.
To be fair, it's very much a blink and you miss it moment, and it could easily be interpreted just as some trash that someone left in the forest, if you wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt.
A video was posted to TikTok showing the moment, with the caption reading: "Oh no not the orange and blue electrical tape scene markers."
But some people had an unexpected, and a little sad, reaction to spotting the apparent mistake.
"It's low key nice seeing human error in the age AI," wrote one, reflecting how it's becoming increasingly difficult to even know what's real anymore.
While another replied: "I love seeing s**t like this."
Others had similar sentiments about it giving a little peek behind the curtain, with one viewer saying: "I actually like catching little details like this to remind myself it's a show."
And someone else had a joking thought about the moment, playing into people's many theories about Stranger Things.

"I just know someone out there is making an entire theory about those pieces of spike tape," they wrote.
Continuity and editing errors happen on even the biggest shows, and as far as they go, this one seems to be a relatively small one.
The moment brought comparison with Game of Thrones, where a coffee cup was accidentally left in shot during filming.
One person made the connection, writing: "At least it's not like when Game of Thrones left a Starbucks cup on the table."
Nothing says fantasy universe like popping out for a latte between dragon battles.
