Netflix subscribers are binge-watching a 100 percent rated series featuring acting royalty, Olivia Colman.

It comes as the streamer confirmed production has kicked off in the UK for their six-part adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.

Colman is set to play Mrs Bennet in the highly-anticipated TV series, opposite The Diplomat's Rufus Sewell as Mr Bennet.

They'll be joined by a glittering Hollywood cast, including Slow Horses' Jack Lowden, Nosferatu's Emma Corrin, The Last Kingdom's James Northcote and The Queen’s Gambit's Eloise Webb.

In fact, Pride and Prejudice will reunite Colman with a former co-star from the previously-mentioned Netflix series. It’s being helmed by the same director, making for quite the reunion.

The series in question first released in May 2022 and runs for three seasons, with a full length feature-film slated for release sometime in 2026.

Made up of 24, half-hour episodes, it could make the ideal binge-watch this weekend.

The British show follows two high school students balancing the ups and downs of both their personal and school lives.

Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) is an openly gay Year 10 student at Truham Grammar school.

He befriends rugby-loving Nick Nelson (Kit Connor) who's in the year above. As their unlikely friendship grows, Nick begins grappling with his sexuality.

Realizing he might be bisexual, Nick's relationship with Charlie deepens as he reflects on his identity.

As their romance blossoms, the pair face the realities of being LGBTQ+ at school while Nick decides how open he wants to be.

Colman appears in some of the show's most critical and emotional moments, as Nick’s mom, Sarah Nelson.

The series in question is called Heartstopper, and it's based on Alice Osman's graphic novel series of the same name.

The show is directed by Euros Lyn and features Rhea Norwood as Imogen, Charlie and Nick's clueless but well-meaning friend.

Norwood will appear alongside Colman as Lydia Bennet in Pride and Prejudice, while Lyn is set to call the shots.

Back to Heartstopper, though; the show received an average Rotten Tomatoes rating of 98 percent across all three seasons.

Both its first and last season was scored perfect ten out of tens by critics.

Their consensus for season one reads: "An inclusive romance told with striking sensitivity, Heartstopper is so effortlessly charming that viewers won't dare skip a beat."

Fans were in agreement, as one social media said: "I binged the show in less than a week and am now rewatching it because there are so many hidden details." A second wrote: "Absolutely perfect series. The show is simply beautiful and the cast is charming. Don't miss this show at any cost."

A third added: "This is literally my Romain Empire and it is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen."

All three seasons of Heartstopper are streaming now on Netflix. The story wraps up with a feature-length film, Heartstopper Forever, set to be released in 2026.
