Jamie Foxx makes brutal Diddy joke during Netflix special on his near-death experience

The 56-year-old was hospitalized following a 'bad headache' last year

Jamie Foxx has taken a brutal swipe at P Diddy in his new Netflix comedy special.

The actor poked fun at the rapper as he recounted the terrifying 'medical incident' that almost killed him last year.

Foxx sparked concern when he disappeared from the public eye and was rushed to hospital last April.

In Netflix's What Had Happened Was, which premiered today (December 10), an emotional Foxx revealed that a stroke caused by a bleed on the brain was behind his 'mystery' illness.

A 'bad headache' led the 56-year-old to pass out and not remember anything for '20 days' in April 2023.

Foxx woke up from a coma unable to walk, with medics fearing the worst as his vital signs remained so high. But throughout the hour-long comedy set, Foxx joked about his near-death experience.

He explained: "Your life doesn’t flash before you. It was kind of oddly peaceful.

"I saw the tunnel, I didn’t see the light. It was hot in that tunnel."

He then joked about going to hell, quipping: "S**t am I going to the wrong place? Is that Puffy?," referring to Sean 'Diddy' Combs.

He continues: "If it was Puffy, he had a flaming bottle of Johnson &…I’m just kidding."

Diddy is currently serving time behind bars as he awaits his May 5 trial on racketeering and sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion - all charges he's continued to deny.

A 14-page federal indictment accuses the rapper of organizing so-called 'freak offs' where women were allegedly sexually assaulted, while federal prosecutors claimed that 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lube were discovered on raids of the rap mogul's home.

Elsewhere in the Netflix comedy, Foxx addresses bizarre internet rumors that circulated, suggesting he'd fallen ill because Diddy had tried to kill him.

Foxx says: “The internet was trying to kill me, though. The internet said Puffy tried to kill me. I know what you’re thinking, did he?"

He added: "Hell, no, I left those parties early, I was out by 9pm, because something don’t look right, it’s slippery in here.”

In a statement to music industry website AllHipHop, Combs' team called the rumors 'outlandish, ridiculous and baseless', and denied any connection between Foxx and Diddy’s case and subsequent arrest.

Foxx also explained how humor has helped him cope with the terrifying health scare.

"I lost everything, but the only thing I could hold onto was my sense of humor.

"I couldn't necessarily walk that good, I couldn't talk that good, but I didn't let go of my funny..."
