If you're looking for you're latest true crime fix, we've got you covered.

Netflix is arguably the king of true crime documentaries (we all remember Killer Sally, right?), and it's newest series has viewers well and truly hooked.

But be warned, while it's been hailed as a 'must watch', it's been leaving some Netflix subscribers unable to sleep afterwards.

The series comes from the creator of Law & Order and boasts an impressive 100 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

If that wasn't enough to entice you, the show currently sits as number three on the Netflix TV show charts following its March 20 release.

Within days of it dropping on the streaming platform, almost seven million people watched it, Forbes reports.

Fans are going wild for Homicide: New York.

Titled Homicide: New York, it definitely sounds like it could be your latest obsession.

Each episode of the five-part docuseries focuses on a different murder case, with the officers who investigated the crime and prosecutors who tried the case giving interviews.

People have since shared their thoughts on the show on social media, with one viewer labelling themself as 'hooked'.

They wrote: "Homicide New York on #Netflix 'Dead bodies, Central Park, the Precinct…' I’m hooked three minutes in."

"I know I’m going to hell for this murder docs addiction," the same viewer went on to quip.

"Homicide New York on Netflix is a must watch," wrote another.

"Dick Wolf produced Homicide: New York on Netflix, y’all know that’s a MUST watch," echoed someone else.

While it's a brilliant watch, another true crime fan urged people not to watch it before going to bed.

The show debuted on Netflix on March 20.

They said on X: "Nah, who told me to stay up last night and watch that new Homicide New York show on Netflix because I had the most unpleasant sleep. I was so uncomfortable."

In the wake of it's popularity, people have called for more seasons of the programme.

"Homicide: New York on Netflix should probably just be a show forever because it’s so good," wrote one fan.

"I wish they had a few more episodes of that Homicide New York show on Netflix. That was good," penned another person who has finished the series already."

"I’m going to need 20 seasons of this show," insisted someone else.

Despite people's pleas, Netflix is yet to be confirm if there will be another season or not.
