Cruise passenger vanished in to thin air with FBI involved and parents adamant she's alive

This 27-year-old cold case to stirs up more questions than answers

An upcoming Netflix series is set to examine the mysterious case of a Royal Caribbean cruise passenger who vanished while on a family vacation.

The streaming service is renowned for its true crime documentaries - and now, a terrifying unsolved case will soon be dissected.

It follows the family of 23-year-old Amy Bradley, who went missing while on a dream cruise vacation in March 1998.

The family, from Virginia, were heading to the Caribbean island of Curaçao aboard the cruise ship Rhapsody of the Seas.

Dad Ron had won the cruise trip from his employer, and Amy had a new job to return to after the vacation.

But days into the trip, she disappeared without a trace, with her last being seen dancing at the ship's nightclub, talking to a musician.

Come the morning, she was nowhere to be seen.

Despite exhaustive searches on board, Amy was nowhere to be found - and by the time the ship docked in Curaçao, some 2,400 passengers poured off, blending into the bustling island crowd and making her disappearance even more baffling.

Hours passed with no sign of Amy, sparking the terrifying possibility that she may have fallen overboard before reaching port. Yet, a body was never found.

A full-scale investigation followed, with the FBI and local police getting involved, combing through witness statements and security logs.

Decades later, the mystery still endures - leaving Amy's family with no closure, and many unanswered questions.

The new three-part series, Amy Bradley is Missing, revisits the cold case, features interviews with her ever-determined family and explores the unconfirmed sightings from around the globe.

It questions whether Amy’s fate was a tragic accident - or something more sinister.

Reacting to the series trailer on YouTube, one person said: "This is probably the one case that really got me into true crime. So interesting, very grim."

"This is along time coming!" a second chipped in. "It's about time Netflix! We need this Amy story!"

"Bringing cases back into the light is a great way for more people to get involved and help solve them!" a third said. "Hopefully this case will be closer to being solved thanks to the help of the public."

The buzz continued over on Instagram, where one person joked: "Netflix really going after the cruise industry this summer," referring to the recently-released Trainwreck: Poop Cruise documentary.

And a second said: "So happy to finally see a documentary on this. This case needs all the recognition it can get," as another agreed: "This case has always haunted me. Hope this sparks interest in her case!"

Amy Bradley Is Missing will be available to stream on Netflix on Wednesday, July 16.
