Netflix Drops Trailer For New True Crime Docuseries About 'The Most Hated Man On The Internet'

True crime fans won't have to wait long for their next fix as Netflix has just dropped a trailer for its new docuseries, The Most Hated Man On The Internet.

'The king of revenge porn'; someone who makes money off non-consenting people's nude pictures - who even made a website out of it. These are definitely not things to be proud of, but for some reason, Hunter Moore seemed to be exactly that.

Moore became known in the early 2010s by creating the website IsAnyoneUp, a hub for revenge porn which posted explicit photos of people, often without their permission.

Hear more about Moore's actions in the trailer below:

The trailer features interviews with people who had their images shared by Moore, as well as clips from the website creator himself. Victims described themselves as feeling 'violated' and 'humiliated', while Moore talked about making money from 'f*cking people over' and dubbed himself a 'professional life ruiner'.

Other interviewees who feature in the Netflix series include law enforcement agents who worked on the case, and the determined woman who fought to make sure Moore would face consequences after he posted photos of her daughter online.

Alex Marengo, who worked as an executive producer on the series, said he 'immediately' knew the story of the fight against Moore's website could make an 'utterly compelling series', describing it as a 'crusade for justice against all the odds wrapped up in a world of real-life and online depravity'.

Hunter Moore described himself as the 'king of revenge porn'.
Netflix

"Some revelled in it, others had their lives ruined," he continued. "I am so proud of our uniquely talented team who turned the lens onto Hunter Moore and turned his victims into the ultimate winners by giving them their voices, silenced until now. It’s incredibly exciting to know that this important story for our times will reach a global audience when it debuts on Netflix.”

The Most Hated Man On The Internet comes from the creators of Tinder Swindler and Don't F*ck With Cats, and is sure to fill the true crime-shaped hole left after binging Netflix's other shocking titles, like the recent hit Girl In The Picture.

In spite of Moore's horrific actions, he built a following through the site with many people supporting his efforts to ruin people's lives. Thankfully, however, Netflix assures the series 'is less about the perpetrator and more about the victims who were brave enough to come forward to stop him.'

The Most Hated Man On The Internet is set to be released on 27 July.
