Jake Paul has come full circle, with the former YouTuber-turned-boxer revealing he is returning to a screen near you very soon.

Except instead of it being on the screen of your phone or laptop, the former content creator will be gracing the silver screen in his first-ever acting gig.

Interestingly enough, he'll be playing a young man who rises to international fame through the glory of combat sports.

To be specific, boxing.

So is this art imitating life? Or life imitating art?

The 26-year-old sportsman, who started out in front of the camera as a teen social media star, will appear in the upcoming feature produced by Mandalay Pictures and Wonder Street studios.

Mandalay Pictures are the same crew responsible for bringing Ben Affleck's recent smash hit sport movie Air to life, for those of you playing at home.

And, as Paul has pulled himself up from the bottom of the combat sports world by his bootstraps in reality, this story shouldn't be too hard for the star.

Mandalay Street producer David Zelon gushed about how excited the studio was to have Paul join the cast.

"Jake continues to make an indelible imprint on today’s youth with his exuberance and business savvy. He is the blueprint of the new breed of entrepreneur, using social media as a platform to bring his brand to global audiences," Zelon told Variety.

He added: "Like many other superstar content creators, Jake cracked the code to attract an audience that generates hundreds of millions of dollars of revenue while also delivering his story in a way that connects directly with audiences of all ages."

Paul also released a statement of his own to share his excitement at his latest career move.

"I’m thrilled to be partnering with Mandalay Pictures and Wonder Street on my first feature film project," he said, as per Variety.

"Both companies have proven track records of producing high-quality content that resonates with audiences, and I couldn’t be more excited to work with such talented and experienced teams.

"As someone who has always believed in pushing boundaries and taking risks, I can’t wait to bring this unique story and my brand to the big screen."
