Harry Styles confirmed to return as Marvel's Starfox

Harry made a cameo as Starfox at the end of 2021’s Eternals

Harry Styles will reprise his role as Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) character Eros, also known as Starfox.

The man responsible for recording Spotify's most streamed song of 2022 (As It Was) is rated very highly by the MCU studio after his cameo at the end of 2021's Eternals.

For anyone wondering, the Eros character, who is a member of the genetically engineered 'Eternals', also happens to be the brother of Thanos.

MCU producer Nate Moore is excited about the One Direction singer who 'is as charming as you want him to be'.

"There are more stories to be told with the character," Moore told Crew Call, a podcast produced by Deadline.

"We certainly didn’t cast Harry for a tag.

"Maybe I have too much affection for [that character] because he’s had some problematic runs in publishing.

"He has a really interesting connection with Thanos, they’re half-brothers and share the same father.

"He has an interesting power set.

"He’s a complicated character, but a really fun character.

"And I think… having met Harry Styles, he is as charming as you want him to be.

"And I think there’s no limit to how good that character’s going to be once we get to bring him back."

Eternals’ director, Chloé Zhao, also told the publication: "It wasn’t like I suggested Eros, and let’s go find actors. I kept tabs on Harry since Dunkirk, I thought he was very interesting.

"After meeting him I realised he is that character – the same way I cast the rest of my cast.

"There’s so much of Eros in him. For me, if he says yes and Kevin says yes then it’s a go. And I’m very happy they both did."

Well it turns out that Eternals co-star Lauren Ridloff didn’t know who Harry Styles was before starring with him.

The actor who plays Makkari confessed to StyleCaster: "It wasn’t that hard because, first, honestly, I was like, ‘Harry Styles? Who’s that?'."

Ridloff's sister, however, is a huge fan of the singer and didn't want her sibling to ruin the surprise of starring alongside him.

She added: "Well, OK, I will say, my sister was a huge fan. At the time, she was working with us and had the opportunity to meet Harry Styles, so I was more concerned with my sister keeping her mouth shut about Harry. I mean, I have to say, I couldn’t believe she didn’t say one thing to one person, I’m so impressed with my sister.
