Stephen King was 'totally engrossed' by a 'mind-bending' mini-series streaming now on Disney+.

The King of Horror loved it so much, he urged loyal fans to stream it, but warned the less you know going in, the better.

The acclaimed author regularly shares his recommendations online, including a Netflix series he hailed 'best of the best.'

With more than 60 stories penned - many turned into cult classic adaptations - it's safe to say Stephen King knows his stuff.

And while King advised people to go in 'cold' on this particular series, we'll give you the bare bones.

The mini-series is made up of eight episodes and racked up an impressive 82 percent Rotten Tomatoes score.

It premiered on FX via Hulu in 2020, but is available to stream on Disney+ in the US, according to JustWatch.

The sci-fi techno-thriller was created, written, and directed by 28 Years Later's Alex Garland and revolves around Lily Chan (Sonoya Mizuno), a software engineer at the quantum computing firm Amaya, led enigmatic CEO Forest (Nick Offerman).

When Lily’s boyfriend, AI coder Sergei (Karl Glusman), vanishes, she launches her own investigation and makes some pretty disturbing discoveries.

The series in question is called Devs and has been hailed a 'deep, dark wild ride' by critics.

"A hauntingly beautiful meditation on humanity, Devs' slow unfurling may test some viewers patience, but fans of Alex Garland's singular talents will find much to chew on," they said in their consensus.

Meanwhile taking to X, formerly Twitter, King said of the series: "DEVS (Hulu/FX) is brainy, beautiful, and mind-bending. I was totally engrossed."

But he warned: "If you decide to watch, go into it cold, knowing nothing. Better that way."

Back to Rotten Tomatoes, and fans scored the TV series 78 percent across more than 500 ratings.

"Great show. Modern existential philosophy delivered by superb actors in the guise of an intriguing thriller," one said.

"I've seen it twice, and the second time was even more rewarding than the first," a second admitted, while a named it among the 'greatest sci-fi series of the last ten years,' adding: "Truly outstanding."

The praise continued over on Reddit, where a new fan questioned how they'd only just discovered the series.

"Recently, I watched 3 Body Problem and wanted to look for another good show like it.

"Then I found Devs... Good storyline, philosophical and intellectually interesting. I'm like why I never heard of this show in 2021!"

"Three Body and Devs are two of the best ever made," another social media user weighed in.

"It is a good show. Some really amazing moments. Maybe some acting issues but I think the story holds it all together."

Devs is streaming now on Disney+.
