Deadpool 3 director says film will have absolutely ‘foul’ language and ‘in your face’ violence

Deadpool's first foray into the MCU will be bigger, badder and better than ever.

If you have any concerns that Deadpool will get a wholesome makeover when he enters the Marvel Cinematic Universe, let us quell those fears.

Sitting down for a chat with Collider, Deadpool 3 director Shawn Levy has confirmed the franchise will remain just as violent and crude as ever.

    Hooray for that.

As well as allaying any fears that fans would get a dialled-down version of Deadpool, Levy has given audiences a bit of an insight into what pre-production has been like for the next instalment.

"We are writing, rewriting, developing, prepping Deadpool every day now," Levy told Collider.

"It is such a blast to laugh every day. It is so delicious to hear and write and come up with these scenes where people are just talking foul.

"And the violence is in your face and hardcore, and it's very much a Deadpool movie."

    Oh no, MORE potty-mouthed violence?
    20th Century Fox.

Levy, of course, also made reference to the fact that Wolverine and Wade Wilson get to join forces in the next film, despite the ongoing 'feud' between Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

A feud that was clearly all a massive ruse designed to prepare us for the adamantium-tipped addition to the third Deadpool film.

Levy said: "And it has Logan in it. And it has Wolverine in it. It's too fun. I'm having so much fun, and I haven't even hit the shooting floor yet."

"I have to say, developing a Deadpool movie is one of the most fun creative experiences of my life because it's not just that it's rated R."

He added: "It's that it's so filled with self-awareness, and that makes in-writing very, very fun in a way that is unique to that franchise."

So yeah, it seems we're in for another ripper of a Deadpool flick.

    Rage on, Wolvy-dude.
    20th Century Fox.

Plus, with Jackman bringing his surly and violent character of Wolverine out of retirement for the first time since 2017's Logan, it's sure to be a dead-set nail-biter of a movie.

We're expecting nothing less than hectic explosions, shoot outs, and plenty of hand-to-claw combat.

And, despite most films set within Marvel Cinematic Universe sitting at a PG-13 rating, the Deadpool-Wolverine combo will likely mean Logan can come out of his shell a bit more and really let his freak flag fly.

    Finally.

But they'd better get a wriggle on if they haven't yet hit the shooting floor, as the film is expected to hit theatres on 8 November 2024.
