The first trailer of Billie Eilish's acting debut has been released, and it looks like it's going to be a wild ride.

Though the pop star has performed in front of tens of thousands of people throughout her successful music career, she's now stepped in front of the camera to appear in the hottest new Amazon Prime thriller series.

Hailed from Janine Nabers and Donald Glover, Swarm tells the story of Dre (Dominique Fishback), a young woman obsessed with a pop star who, despite being fictional, is very similar to Beyoncé.

Even her fanbase is known as 'The Swarm', a play on words of the singer's 'Bey Hive'.

The show takes a look at Dre's life, stan culture and how her obsessive fandom takes her to dark places.

And if that wasn't exciting enough, along the way she meets Eva, a creepy cult leader portrayed by Eilish herself.

The 'Bad Guy' singer makes her acting debut in the fourth episode of the seven-part series, and yesterday (16 March) she shared a brief insight into her eerie performance.

In the clip, Dre says, "I see milk spilled on the carpet," to which Eva asks, "What colour was the milk?"

With a sinister smile, Dre replies, "It was red."

Eilish's character then asks whether she hurt someone, and upon finding out that she did, she says, "Very good."

Very good indeed.

The pair's performance creates a tense and chilling atmosphere, one that we can't wait to see more of now that the show has dropped.

Fans are absolutely loving what they've seen so far, with one writing: "Billie sounds like she could play a serial killer in the best way possible."

"Billie found a role that lets her whisper like her songs," said another, to which a third replied, "LMFAO though true, it works and I’m so excited for her debut."

"Oh Billie was acting for real," a fourth commented, with a fifth stating, "THE 'did you hurt someone?' I'M OBSESSED."

Others are suggesting the singer will be a shoo-in for the next EGOT winner – aka people who win all four of the major American entertainment awards, including an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award.

Fans are already raving about the new show.

The 21-year-old might not be there yet, but it looks like she's certainly got some acting chops on her.

And the same goes for the rest of the cast which, alongside Fishback and Eilish, includes Nirine S Brown as the leading pop star, Chlöe Bailey as Dre’s sister Marissa, and Damson Idris as Marissa’s boyfriend Khalid.

Do you want to know what the best news is? All seven episodes dropped on Amazon Prime today (March 17) – that's your weekend sorted.
