Adam Driver admits he’s ‘haunted’ by Star Wars scene ‘every day’

Adam Driver has admitted he is often badgered over one of the the franchises most iconic scenes.

Star Wars remains one of the most popular and recognised franchises in the world, and Adam Driver has admitted he is hounded by fans over one particular scene.

The Star Wars franchise is filled with iconic moments that not only shaped film-making, but also pop culture.

Adam Driver has been one of the most well-received new additions to the franchise for his portrayal of Kylo Ren, the powerful force user who worked under Supreme Leader Snoke.

In 2015, Star Wars: The Force Awakens saw the character introduced and it revealed the character was actually the son of Harrison Ford’s Han Solo.

Recently appearing on Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace, Driver explained that he is reminded of the moment when his character kills fan-favorite character Han Solo.

He joked that he was haunted by the scene and at one point, every day someone was reminding him that he had killed one of the most beloved characters in the franchise.

Speaking on how he approached the mammoth task of becoming the new big bad in Star Wars he said he recognized what a massive opportunity it was for him in his career.

“I took it really seriously and thought about it a lot and I was very on the fence, I was aware it was a great opportunity and I didn’t want to be in it and be bad,” Driver said.

“A lot of people were going to watch it and I was a fan of those movies.”

Wallace joked: “I know it is a movie and I know you are playing a part, but you killed Harrison Ford.”

While laughing, Driver replied: “Yeah, somebody reminds of me about that every day. Not every day, it used to be more but now it is probably once a month that someone will let me know I killed Han-Solo.

“I remember shooting that day and it didn’t feel like that at all, obviously. John Williams wasn’t playing in the background. It was very emotional actually.

“Shooting it with Harrison, he was so generous, contemplative and to me that was a great moment on set even though it was his death.”

Driver went on to reprise his role of Kylo Ren in 2017’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi and 2019’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and despite some of the mixed reception for the sequels, Driver’s performance has been praised by both die-hard and new fans alike.
