Woman reveals 'disgusting' view that was hidden from her until she bought the apartment

Nothing sounds worse than realizing there is something seriously wrong about where you live once you have finally moved in.

That nightmare became a reality for one unlucky woman who detailed her horrible discovery on social media.

You might have to deal with annoying neighbors or a frustrating landlord, or simply the property isn’t what you thought it was when you came to tour.

But New Yorker Carol discovered the worst thing when she looked out her window. Take a look:

She found that the buildings trash bins sat directly outside of her window. You can only imagine the smell if you had your windows open during the summer time. Yuck.

To make matters worse, she was first showed the apartment after the trash had been collected. Could have been an unfortunate oversight by the person who gave her the tour or an intentionally cunning move, who knows.

Carol, who goes by @notfromdenmark on TikTok, moved into a New York apartment in September 2022 only to discover an ocean of bin bags piled out outside her window on a daily basis.

While she knew the building she was moving into stored bins outside her window, she'd been shown around the property just after they'd been taken out and therefore hadn't seen just how bad things could get the rest of the time.

In her video she showed a picture of a few bins full of cardboard, only to switch to an image of an area full of rubbish.

She said: "I toured it on Monday night, Monday is the day they take the trash out here apparently. At no point in the entire process did they mention that this is where they store the garbage, it wasn't in the lease, they didn't mention it when I toured."

Carol has since kept people updated on her situation with the mountain range of garbage parked outside her window on a daily basis, including the time she called the fire brigade to warn them of the massive hazard sitting outside her window (which also blocks the building's fire escapes).

There was also a festive TikTok for viewers to enjoy, because nothing says Christmas quite like a pile of rubbish covered with snow, that will really get you in the festive mood.

As if that wasn't bad enough, Carol has since had to put up with her apartment being flooded after a water leak from two floors above her.
