A former owner of a swingers club has explained the strict rule that would see members kicked out immediately with no exceptions.

Tanya and Ashley Marum shared intimate details about their relationship while explaining their swingers club, which began after a friend asked the couple if they wanted to take part in a threesome.

The couple's openness has certainly sparked a debate surrounding swingers clubs, as a taboo surrounding the activity certainly is a thing.

Amid a rise in the discussion of swingers clubs, a former owner of one took to Reddit to ask the internet's burning questions.

While running the business for five years, the anonymous individual explained the strict rule that would immediately get members of the swingers club thrown out.

He explained on Reddit: "People were occasionally asked to leave. We had zero tolerance for consent violations. If enthusiastic consent wasn't given prior to any type of advancement you were out regardless of gender or sexuality.

"No isn't maybe. It's no. That was typically the biggest reason for being asked to leave or removed. It was a private members club so a annual/monthly membership was required as well as a cover charge at the door."

The former owner added: "Most club owners also support themselves with other full time jobs and the club pays for itself. Of course there's always profit in alcohol sales.

"We had very reasonable prices on liquor sales and members got things like free towels, absorbent blankets, other laundry, toiletries like mouth wash, body wipes, hair spray etc in the bathrooms. Free snacks were provided each night as well."

Elsewhere in the thread, the former owner was asked what advice they would offer to a couple who have never been to a swingers club before and are planning to visit.

One person wrote: "First, talk to each other. Make one another's boundaries very clear. Check out the consent policy of the club you are potentially visiting.

"If they don't have one posted I'd be weary. Understand that just because you're there, you absolutely not committed to play with anyone else. My advice to first timers was to just visit the social area on your first visit."

The former swingers club owner continued: "Don't even think about playing. Make sure the vibe is right for you, and if it is then consider only playing with each other the next time. Take it slow, there's no rush."
