Here's a quick multiple-choice quiz for you.

You're 22 and you're earning $100,000 a year. Do you: A) Keep grinding it out at that job and retire early, or B) Risk it all, leave the security of your immense-paying job to try and work for a YouTuber?

Wrong answers only!

If you chose leaving your high-paying job to try and work for a YouTuber, you got it right! That's exactly what Austin Wallace did.

In a viral TikTok video, Wallace claimed he was earning a salary of $100,000 - although he provided no proof, let's just trust him.

Anyway, who was the YouTuber he hoped to get a job with? Well, I'm sure you've already seen in the video it was none other than PRIME sports drink co-founder, Logan Paul.

Wallace flew to Cleveland, where Paul was supporting brother Jake as he took on Tyron Woodley, and managed to talk his way backstage.

But things did not go exactly as he had planned.

Taking to the social media platform, he said: "I'm 22, I do make $100,000 a year and that's cool. I wanna act, I wanna do these things, I'm gonna break down right now."

He added: "I don't know what to do. I did come up here by myself, I do have family but we're not the closest, and I don't have really close friends. You know there's millions of people trying to do what I wanna do. Just watch the clip."

Wallace then cut to a clip of the encounter he had with Paul, who asked what he was good at.

Wallace was brutally honest and admitted he didn’t really have what it took, despite ‘legit’ quitting his job for him.

"Then why would I give you a job?" Paul asked, continuing to explain that he couldn’t be a mentor to the fan, but offered up some solid advice.

"Go make content, make stuff with your friends,” he said.

“I'm glad you quit your job, it takes balls to do that, but now you gotta activate. I'm not the guy directly. My team is [mimes something very small] - we're locked."

Paul continued: "Life isn't about handouts, you've gotta work. If you really are serious about it, you should move to LA and just like you approached me, start making connections with every single person in LA.

"I'm serious, that's it. I've always said, if you can talk to someone, you can make it in LA."

That was back in 2021, and it seemed like he took the advice on board as he now has one million followers on TikTok.

Keep chasing that cheddar Wallace, whether you really had a $100k-a-year job is another thing... but we're behind you and hope you achieve your dreams one day.
