Social media users have been floored after a UPS driver shared his weekly paycheck, with many left questioning whether they made the right career choice - myself included.

This isn't the first time people have been in awe at how much UPS drivers earn, with their union negotiating a pay increase with UPS this year to avoid a strike.

Now, TikTok users have been stunned by how much one driver is able to make on a weekly basis.

Skyler Stutzman shared a video earlier this month that has so far been viewed more than 7.5 million times. In the clip, he reveals his weekly payment, taxes and deductions.

“Let’s take a look at a UPS driver’s paystub,” he said as he explained he was talking to social media users during his unpaid 30-minute lunch break.

“There are a couple things I want to note. One, union members with UPS are paid weekly so these numbers are going to reflect a weekly paycheck.

“The second thing I want to talk about with this paystub is that I don’t want to mention it in any ill-mannered way.

"I simply love when I come across content creators who share their paystubs of their different working field and show a transparency of how their wages are broken down.”

Getting into the detail of his payment, Stutzman showed that before tax and deductions he was being paid a surprising $2,004.98.

With total taxes payment of $487.49 and total deductions of $204.25, he takes home a weekly amount of $1,313.24, to the bemusement of his TikTok viewers.

Now you would be forgiven for assuming this means he must be working ridiculously long hours, but this is not the case.

Stutzman revealed that he is paid $44.26 dollars an hour and, in a week, works 42.76 hours.

His payslip also detailed his regular hours worked, overtime hours worked as well as production bonus hours. It also highlighted his year-to-date payment total of $76,243.08.

Stutzman’s hourly rate and weekly take home left many in the comments section stunned with many comparing it to their own professions.

Users suggested Stutzman had likely been working with the company for a long time to earn so much.

“Damn bro $44 an hour, crazy. How many years you been doing this?” one user remarked.

“Not me realizing that a UPS driver makes more than I do. 20 years in my field with a degree,” another wrote.

“40 dollars an hour. Meanwhile me fighting for my life making 15 an hour,” commented another.

"As a teacher my salary is the same... paid bi weekly,” another user joked.

While many users were left impressed, others suggested Stutzman had likely been working with the company for a long time and would be expected to work very hard during his hours due to how well he is paid.

Nevertheless, healthy paychecks are not uncommon for UPS drivers, with their salaries bumped up by $2.50 in 2023 and $7.50 over the course of five years thanks to their union Teamsters.
