It seems some women have discovered a big new red flag and guys might need to check if they are shooting themselves in the foot already.

Dating in this day and age is probably not like how your Ma and Pa used to do it... as I'm sure they've repeatedly told you.

One of the biggest changes is where people go to for advice - long gone are the days of writing into agony aunt pages spewing your relationship issues.

Now, more often than ever, people turn to social media for advice and to all those sneaky cheaters out there, the game is up.

A TikToker named Fiona (@baddgal_fifi) has sent out a message to all her female followers to watch out for a particular red flag she has noticed that can often spell disaster.

In the clip, that has been viewed more than 380,000 times since being posted last month, she explained there were apparently two crucial signs women should look out for to see if their partner has 'cheater energy'.

Worst of all, many of the people in the comments section also agreed with her, claiming their previous partners did one of the two things.

Fiona explained: “Guys that have cheater energy, meaning they will cheat on you, they are DTC, that is what I like to say, down to cheat.

“From my experience they either have an Instagram.com account and follow tons of girls they don’t know, especially fitness girls.

“If I see he follows a bunch of fitness girls, DTC, second, opposite but equal.

“He has Instagram and he follows every girl he has ever met, the woman who served him at the taco truck, he is following her, normal girl but tons.

“If they have spoken, they have crossed paths, he has got her IG [Instagram], it is giving DTC.”

Some users were impressed with Fiona’s take and insisted she got it spot on.

But to play devil’s advocate here, there were quite a few comments also saying that their other half did neither of these things and still cheated on them.

Others said that their partner didn’t even have social media and still cheated on them... almost like all different kinds of people cheat regardless.

Either way, it's probably best to take Fiona’s advice with a pinch of salt rather than starting an argument with your boyfriend cause he follows some fitness influencers.
