A woman is being praised after breaking down her Thanksgiving chores list that her family use to prevent her siblings from 'killing' one another.

Thanksgiving can be a great time for catching up and spending time with families, but it can also be a tension-ridden time where old sibling rivalries resurface, and new arguments and spats develop.

Well, one TikTok user has decided to be prepared and has showed off an Excel sheet she and her family use to divvy up tasks, insisting it had proven successful for the festive get together. Take a look:

In the clip, which has been viewed more than 650,000 times, the TikToker showed that she and her family discus each other's responsibilities via video chat and decide what one another is bringing food-wise.

“Okay, so this is how I do Thanksgiving so that my siblings and I don’t kill each other,” the TikTok user said.

“Basically, we give every dish a points value from one to three. A cranberry dish is a one, turkey is a three and we all draft what dishes we wanna make.

“We also do this thing called flex kitchen which means you basically hang out in the kitchen for an hour and your job is to keep the kitchen clean.

“So, unload the dishwasher if it needs it ready, loading it, helping out the people cooking, whatever it takes to keep the kitchen moving.

"And this is what it looks like when we’re done, so everyone has the same amount of work on the holiday, whoop whoop.”

Social media users were quick to praise the TikTok user for her anti-fighting thanksgiving strategy - though some were curious what incident happened that meant they had to implement this for the holiday.

“Flex kitchen is brilliant. I hate dishes but could happily hang in the kitchen for a finite, expected amount of time for whatever is needed,” one user said.

“Really makes you wonder what’s worse, having thanksgiving alone or having to project manage your manage your own family,” another joked.

“My family would love this, if there was a winner, we cannot do points without there being a winner,” said another.

“I wish this would work. My family much prefers to be dysfunctional and yell at each other,” another user added.

“I’m happy for y’all but this is exactly what would make my siblings kill each other,”

So, what do you think? Think you’ve got time to rally the family and designate chores for your family members before you all sit around the table for dinner?
