An OnlyFans star has received backlash for a video that people have branded 'disgusting'.

Hurricane Helene has been ravaging parts of the US in the recent days, destroying homes and claiming the lives of dozens of people.

As of yesterday (October 1), it was said that more than 160 people have died across the Southeast as a result of the extreme weather conditions, CBS News reported.

The Carolinas are said to be the worst affected areas, as 113 people are reported to have died there.

The storms have also affected parts of Florida. A small town called Steinhatchee in particular has been left completely destroyed.

OnlyFans content creator Skyler Simpson, based on Tampa, took to social media in recent days to post a new video that one person described as 'in poor taste'.

In the video, Skyler was sporting a pink bikini and an umbrella that she struggled to keep up due to the high winds. Meanwhile, the flooding was up to her knees.

"Live, reporting from Tampa Bay, on Bayshore Boulevard," she started the mock weather report.

"As you can see, I think people got a little dramatic with how the weather was gonna be here, the storm obviously passed and went up to Tallahassee," she continued.

"I think it’s a beautiful night out here on Bayshore."

She went on to say that the conditions were 'perfect for a strolling with the family and having a nice nighttime walk'.

While the video is in a very jokey manner, Skyler did caption the clip: "Jokes aside hope everyone is okay and my heart goes out to all affected by the storm."

Speaking to UNILAD, Skyler clarified that the video was intended as a joke and that an 'overwhelming majority of people' 'enjoyed it'.

"Not every joke is for everyone. It landed with most but not all. I have family and friends that were affected by the storm and their homes ruined. They thought it was hilarious and know it was simply a joke about reporters and how they act during storms.

"It was coming from a good place to bring light hearted jokes to the disaster that happened."

Skyler's video has entertained some people, but others have hit out at the OnlyFans star for making light of the storms that have claimed the lives of many people - children included.

"Disgusting. Selling content while others are suffering. Karma will get you," one person fumed.

Urging her to take the video down, someone else on Instagram said: "Incredibly poor taste with this. People have died. Or are seriously injured. Would you wanna be in their shoes? Just because you think you had a fun drunk moment doesn’t mean this post should stay on your account. So if you’ve got tact you’ll delete it."

Someone else accused her of doing 'anything for content'.
