The US tried to warn strange entities against entering its airspace when it shot down an unknown object off the coast of Alaska, but less than two months later another strange sight has been spotted in the country.

The bizarre flying object was caught on camera in Clovis, California, where Kylie Hubble was watching TV in her room and she saw lights flashing overhead.

The scene was captured on Saturday (1 April), but don't get carried away thinking this is some kind of April Fool's joke, because it was seen at 11pm local time, way after the prank cut off time.

The fact it took place at nighttime means it's too dark to have been a bird - unless it was flying with a strobe light - and the lights seem to be flashing too much to be a plane. So it begs the question, what on Earth is it?

Or maybe 'on Earth' is the wrong place to be looking.

Recalling the sight to KMPH, Hubble explained she was lying in bed watching TV when her room lit up with a 'really bright light'.

Can you make out what the object is?

"I thought like maybe it was some type of flashlight or just something like flying around, maybe a helicopter," she said.

Hubble got up to investigate further, saying: “I opened the window and I didn't hear any sound. So I was like, that's not a helicopter or an airplane."

She was able to observe the object for about two minutes before it disappeared, with the entire ordeal leading her to question her beliefs.

Hubble insisted she hadn't previous believed in aliens, but now she's not so sure.

"It was probably as big as a hot air balloon and it was lighting up and blinking and then it like got up really high and lit up like super, super bright and then it just disappeared," she recalled.

"I would never believe it until I saw it, and when I saw it I was like, 'oh my gosh, what is that?' It was almost kind of creepy, I was like 'oh my God, are they gonna take me?'"

The encounter led Hubble to question her beliefs.

When the Federal Aviation Administration was contacted for comment, it said: "We don’t have reports of any unusual aircraft activity in the area."

Hubble isn't the only one to have spotted an UFO in Clovis in recent years; in 2021 Vince Mandara was on his way to a gas station when he spotted an object floating above him.

He described the object as 'dancing around', but shortly after he started filming it, it disappeared.

"All of the sudden it’s just gone, I mean, it just kind of blurs out," he said.

With no explanation for the objects just yet, the people of Clovis might just have to keep an eye out for any other strange happenings.
