Rapper Sexyy Red releases lipgloss with 'disgusting' NSFW names and fans think she’s gone too far

I guess all publicity is good publicity, right?

Sexyy Red has certainly turned some heads by unveiling the names of the products in her lip gloss line... and they are pretty out-there to put it politely.

In the modern world some days you get to see the many wonders and beautiful aspects of the human experience, and other days you find out rapper Sexyy Red has released a NSFW lip gloss collection.

Now that normally wouldn’t be such a big deal, loads of music artists branch out into other avenues to capitalize on their popularity.

But my goodness, the names the 26-year-old has chosen for the products in her Northside Princess beauty brand have left social media users stunned, with many ridiculing the artist.

Think I'm overreacting? Well, just wait until you see the names and you’ll likely understand why some have been calling them 'disgusting'.

The rapper doesn’t seem that bothered and posted on her own Instagram and Twitter pages: “Introducing NORTHSIDE PRINCESS the brand & my first product will b my lipgloss I’m so excited.”

Sexyy Red shared an image of her holding a massive stack of the lip glosses as well as a close up on what each box contained.

The names - a few of which seem to channel her 'Pound Town' track - include: 'C**chie Juice', 'B**tyhole Brown', 'N*t', 'Yellow Discharge', 'Gonorrhea', 'Blue Ballz', 'Sex On My Period', and 'P***yhole Pink' ... yep, that is what they are really called.

Sure, they're a little bit out there, but hey it wouldn’t be the first time that has been a winning formula.

However, on Twitter it seems people aren’t exactly fond of the lip gloss names, with some claiming they simply go too far.

“Yellow discharge wtf I wish I have not seen this,” one user wrote.

Another commented: “I literally couldn’t agree more, I used to like her but now she’s just plain disgusting.”

“Just like that you made your brand a joke novelty that will be purchased once as an 'lol' rather than a marketable brand. Y'all literally have Rihanna as a successful blue print and you did this... Yikes,” a third penned.

Someone else added: "Girl… why would you name those shades that? Nobody wanna put gonorrhea on their lips."

Despite this, Sexyy Red previously made it clear that she wasn’t that bothered by those that don’t like it.

She told Complex in 2023: “You know, people are gonna talk s*** but other people were like ‘you is a marketing genius’.

“Because that s*** sold so fast and it smells good too. I be thinking of all out of the box s***. It’s not even on purpose it’s just my brain, it helps me think outside the box to do some crazy a** s***.”
