Rapper Sexyy Red 'heartbroken' after her sex tape is leaked on her Instagram

The NSFW footage was quickly deleted

Rapper Sexyy Red has said she is ‘heartbroken’ after her sex tape was leaked online.

It comes after NSFW footage was uploaded to social media, showing the ‘Hood Hottest princess’ singer and an unnamed man.

Shockingly, the explicit clip first appeared on the musician’s Instagram Story, with many of her 2.3 million followers speculating that she could have accidentally uploaded it.

The video was deleted from her account shortly after this.

Following the leak, Sexyy Red took to X (formally Twitter) to deny that she was the one responsible.

The rapper, whose real name is Janae Nierah Wherry, wrote: “I’m so heartbroken anybody that kno me knows I wouldn’t do no goofy s**t like that.”

Despite this and the video being deleted, it hasn’t stopped social media users from hitting out at the 25-year-old and her recent controversy surrounding former President Donald Trump.

One particularly cruel tweet read: “Sexyy red had to get rid of them Trump supporter allegations, QUICK!”

It came not long after the ‘Poundtown’ singer expressed her support for the controversial political figure during a podcast, which sparked a major backlash online.

During her appearance on the This Past Weekend podcast, the musician revealed that she supported Trump due to the stimulus cheques US citizens received during the pandemic.

“I like Trump,” she told listeners, adding: “Yeah, they support him in the hood.”

Sexyy Red also explained how her opinion of the former president had changed over time and how she wanted to see him back in the White House.

She added: “…at first I don’t think people was f**ing with him. Like they thought he was racist, saying little s**t, and against women. But once he started getting Black people out of jail and giving people that free money, ah baby, we love Trump. We need him back in office.”

"We need people like him," Sexyy Red told listeners, after calling Trump ‘funny’.

The rapper will now be preparing for her first headline tour - Hood Hottest Princess Tour - which will see her perform in major cities such as Nashville, New York, Atlanta and Los Angeles.

Kicking off in Boston, the gigs are scheduled until December.

UNILAD has reached out to Sexyy Red's representatives for comment regarding the footage.
