T-Mobile is set to acquire Mint Mobile - a wireless mobile network operator company Ryan Reynolds part-owns.

Ryan Reynolds has his finger in so many pies, it's hard to keep up!

He may be best known for his career as an actor, appearing on our screens as characters such as Wade Wilson, but he also decided to buy Wrexham football club, and now apparently he has a minority ownership stake in a mobile network operator company too.

However, Mint Mobile - founded by David Glickman and Rizwan Kassim - won't be his at all any longer as it is set to be acquired by telecommunications company T-Mobile.

In a video uploaded to Reynold's social media, CEO Mike Sievert announced T-Mobile's plans 'to acquire Mint Mobile'.

Mint Mobile is a 'wireless brand that shares [T-Mobile's] customer-first commitment,' Sievert explains.

Sievert is then joined by Reynolds, who adds: "We're incredibly excited. Mint has run on T-Mobile's network since its inception.

"And the reason people have such a great experience with Mint is due to the T-Mobile Network. Especially because of it's unrivalled lead in 5G."

But how much is Mint Mobile actually being sold for? Well, T-Mobile is acquiring Ka'ena Corp and its subsidiaries and brands which include Mint Mobile.

As reported by Variety, T-Mobile is set to pay 39 percent cash and 61 percent stock to acquire the Corp, totalling a maximum of $1.35 billion (£1.12 billion).

However, the amount could change depending on how Ka'ena performs prior and after closing the deal.

Reassuring current Mint Mobile customers, Sievert noted T-Mobile is 'all about value' and so is planning on continuing Mint Mobile's 'famous $15-a-month pricing'.

The CEO resolved: "I'm really excited about even more good stuff to come."

Reynolds added: "And T-Mobile has assured me that our incredibly improvised and borderline reckless messaging strategy will also remain untouched.

"[...] And along with the entire Mint Mobile team and my Maximum Effort teams I'm just absolutely thrilled with every aspect of this new venture.

"I'm certain that I'm finally going to fill whatever hole I have inside my soul which possesses me to emphasise external success over quieting an inner child, futilely craving some sort of illusory acknowledgement from my now-deceased father."

Reynolds said he's 'proud and grateful' to have owned a wireless company.

Despite the bizarre yet hilarious video announcement, Reynolds took to Twitter to reflect more seriously on the deal.

He wrote: "I only want the best for Mint Mobile customers. Think I’ve found it.

"I never dreamt I’d own a wireless company and I certainly never dreamt I’d sell it to T-Mobile. Life is strange and I’m incredibly proud and grateful. #MintMobile."
